They were all like that in high school, 5 years outa high school.....still the same way. I think its a specific breed
Oh, so yr one of those paranoid drug addict "I READ 1984 I'M SMART BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU FUCK THE CORPORATIONS MAN" kinda cats. Charming.
See, now, the differentiation between redneck, hillbilly, and hick, has been lost to far too many of you people.
You're right. I don't see how you could like that music if you didn't grow up with it. Please do elaborate
hick= someone who lives in a rural area hillbilly= someone who lives in a rural area and is sure proud of it redneck= white extremest hillbilly im just guessing, i'm canadian and i know nothing of southern living, but am i right?
Usually the ones that are "redneck and proud" are simply taking an epithet with negative connotations and making it their own. Like the "bitch" and "dyke" movement. It's mostly annoying to urban people and a source of fun for country people. It's also funny to me that making fun of whatis basically an American dialect is okay because ubanites think "country" means stupid. What I think most annoys urban types is that not only are country types completely unpressed by them, urbanites have the sneaking suspicion that they're too polite to say so except when they feel like riling them up.
Heh. They don't mindblack people, it's "niggers" they hate. and let's not forget that brilliant gin & juice cover.
I'm pretty sure Rehab does one with all the banjos and shit too....can't find it right now though Sounded just like that one you're talking about but the voice a little less twangy
Living in Kentucky I've noticed that I get pretty darn twangy when I'm talking to people with thick accents
