I'm going to be working with AmeriCorps this summer. I work about 35 hours per week, and I make about $430 every 2 weeks. Plus, they give $1,200 towards college. I don't exactly know where I'll be working, but I'm hoping to make trails in the local parks or do something at the zoo. keep ya fingers crossed for me.

Best paying jobs I've seen are construction and contracting. I'm hating myself for quitting heating and air ($10-14 an hour), but a broken left ankle says otherwise while crawling under houses at 140 degrees fahrenheit in Summer (black widows and who knows what else). I also had a job with Southern States, but I'm trying to find an easier job for now. I wouldn't mind running a forklift or something all the time without running around, but you really can't pick where they put you or what job orders you have in the warehouse/loading dock. Hope you enjoy the job/find what you're looking for
i think i'd die on 430 every two weeks.. i'm very paranoid about money. probably cause my dad made always save my allowance as a kid. but congrats none the less.
