Must admit I don't full understand the question. Are you asking if it is just Sex, drugs and rock n Roll that is sustaining this forum? If so. This forum has a lot more going on here than that, and I think there is a very broad diversity of thread doors and subjects here. If I haven't fully understood the question, then please excuse me. I didn't sleep very well last night!
Nah, nah, nah, boo-boo! I can play with words too! Words sustain this forum, because they are censored most other places. The more Google and others drive up the price of words, the more people might actually think about simply sharing their words more often. Chatting away about how your cat died is not really sharing your words. I'll gladly put up with idiots talking about how sexually stimulating the mole on their ass is, if they at least occasionally share their words as if they wanted to listen to each other.
That is my point Tacos. It’s nice to be able to say the F word occasionally. But some people only seem to have that as part of their vocabulary. Like you say. This site is a lot more than that, otherwise nice people such as you and I would simply leave here.

people like cheap things to say that sound simple and true at the same time, even when they're not. there was a time when most of my interests were considered outside of the main stream, many of my perspectives still are. in spite of the title of this thread having become, for all practival purposes about as mainstream as there still is any such thing. there's still a universe out there that owes nothing to what people tell each other, whatever they choose to believe. oblivion won't dematerialize the causes of pain, but the direction the consensus focuses is the direction its default culture finds itself following.
