It is an option, yes. And private companies run some NHS health centres.
I think the NHS has a target waiting time - if that is breached they outsource it to private hospitals/treatment centres.
I'm not quite sure what % of people here have substantial health insurance, and don't use the NHS at all.
I don't think you can get a tax break if you don't use the NHS - or you get to skip 'sales taxes' ...

i started a thread on 'fuck the elections' no on obama and romney. if i wanted to start a thread on them i would have made the title 'lets talk about obama'
it was supposed to be a thread on why we dont like the elections or politics.
but some people dont have anything else to do other than talk about politics so they have to find an anti political/election thread and start talking about pro political shit in it.
there are some post in here that are fine, where people just bump the thread and be like yea i dont give a fuck about this shit. thats what it was supposed to be

Ok, I do like politics. It would be very strange not to talk about something political, frequently. With regards the U.S elections - yeah, you can stick a fork in that one.

 

I was just watching an electrician at work walk by then I look at my phone and this was the first thread I saw. I was thinking for a second, what can somebody have against an electrician.

OK, I'll be honest, the US elections is a real pain in a lower part of the body . It's like christmas in this months. You switch the radio on and all you hear is christmas songs. Last thing yesterday evening was how the unemployment rate influences the elections, first thing this morning was how US soldiers abroad influences the elections. Yaddayadda. I guess most Europeans like to see Obama as president. But the funny thing is, neither Obama nor Romney has real power. Every political decision they want to bring through will be blocked by the other party. The only power the president of the US will have is the control over the military.
