I would be thrilled if every single jihadist/fundamentalist/isis/bokoharem thug self detonated right now. However they have this nasty habit of taking other people with them. Mostly innocent citizens, and often muslims as well.

Every religious follower is in it to get money or power or to work to aquire it for their leaders or organisation? We don't know why other people are or aren't religious. You are most likely projecting the reason you don't believe onto her. There are many different reasons. Just bcause you find religion dumb doesn't mean anyone who has a sincere use for it is dumb.

A bit of education would certainly be in order. Even so, what happened in the past is no excuse for people to behave like ignorant savages today. We are supposed to evolve as a species, and it really seems like certain groups want to go back to the middle ages. Oh, except that they do want all the benefits of modern and Western technology - like modern weapons and the Internet to further their fucked-up causes. Right.

 

Well, I think we have the right to criticize everything we want to. But that right doesn't automatically make the criticicism valid, constructive, well targeted or uttered for the proper reason. So even though it is important to make use of our right to comment on anything we want it is just as important to give feedback if we feel the criticism is flawed, or stemming from misunderstanding or fear/xenophobia etc.

 

Are people in the middle east or muslims less entitled to get and use modern technology than the average western person? Has the average western person evolved more as a species than the average middle eastern person? Is the average western person not using internet for their own causes just the same?
And another thing: how and why did those muslim extremists got all those modern weapons? I guess modern weapons are only good and fun if 'we' have them.
