Hello, maybe the people who already use car pooling act as disseminators. The thing I don't really understand is the traffic jams twice a day on the commuter routes in most cities. People hate them. I understand that there are cases when you need the car (maybe you live in the Swabian Mountains where public tranportation is zilch), but why don't switch the other people over to car pooling or the tram? To me it looks like they hate the tram even more than the daily traffic jam . Regards Gyro
Hello, true. I'm sure such surveys happened. Oh, and as someone who uses public transportation very often, I can tell you there are lots of reasons to hate them . Regards Gyro
Aww it would have been cool to meet someone off here hehe. I don't /think/ youd of kidnapped and killed me. =p Who else has Deutsch travel plans???
Go stand with them, the sooner they get their wages or whatever they want the sooner you get where you're going.
While they are picketing, he should go and fuck their wives and make them have his little gyro babies in retaliation for making him wait for the train.
Hello, primarly they don't want more money or more days off. The enigine drivers union want to rule over other workers who are organized in a different union. Regards Gyro
Nice hills and valleys. Are you planning to go into the woods over there while you stuck there anyway? Seems like a good idea if the weather doesn't suck
Depends.. Before a big festival you do see hitchhikers. When we drove to Sziget a few years ago we saw plenty of hitchhikers in Germany (and fellow roadtrippers of course). There probably are some people that still hitchhike on occasion but not so many as there used to be. In the netherlands it is illegal to stand next to the highway with a hitchhike sign (you can try at a train station/parking area/carpool spot I suppose, and occasionally see people do that). Perhaps in other european countries as well?
There's no law against it in the UK. Back in the day I used to hitch rides all over the place. Nowadays, you hardly ever see anyone hitching. In a way, that's a measure of the way our culture has changed and become generally more uptight. People don't like to see anyone getting something for nothing - not even a ride.
Hello, you know me well . Indeed, I thought about buying a pair of hiking boots for the weekend. The shoes I have with me are more for city and office use . But I decided against the boots. There are some storage reservoirs in this area, that are surrounded by nature, but have a more or less paved path around them. Perhaps I have a walk around one of them. Depends on the weather and my lazyness . Regards Gyro
