Can we please just talk about how Elsa is the protagonist of "Frozen," and not her more-bland-than-Oikos sister Ana? I, like so many people, have a love-hate relationship with Disney, especially when it comes to the heroines. I wasn't psyched to see "Frozen," but a few nights ago was bored and went ahead and took a look. There's just so much that needs to be said, but I'd like to focus more on the idea that Elsa deserves more credit than she's given. There's a beautiful, complex story underneath the stereotypical love story Disney gave us. I'll give them credit: Ana punches the douchey prince, and a kiss from a dude isn't what saves the day. But still, who faces the larger conflict? Who undergoes a dramatic character change? Who has flaws, comes to terms with them and grows as a result? ELSA! So let me hear it! Anyone else out there think that Ana is just the Jiminy Cricket to Elsa's Pinnochio?
