The only way to make a buck with a $5 pizza is to put too much sugar in the crust, so it rises quickly, and to use the cheapest mass-production toppings you can find, just above Purina.

 

The original 500 year old Italian pizza ovens are still in use today. Its just a thin crust with some tomato sauce, that people eat for a cheap lunch. If food were not so cheap in the US to begin with, we would all eat better.

 

With bought ones that so called made up cheese they use these days looks and taste like silly putty

Buy the bases and they are they are simple to make up as you like them. Taste better as well .

 

I feel like as a society we are less tolerant of assholes these days. The second someone can't be an asshole, they complain about their free speech being violated. I'm not saying that's the OP specifically, but what I see is when high profile people are fired for making racist or sexist comments, for example, people come out of the woodwork to defend them.

Free speech is not, nor has it ever been, the right to be a bigot without consequence. It's about ensuring the right of the press and the people to criticize the government without consequence.

 

The KKK openly runs the US government, has gerrymandered our votes making them worthless, and suspended our constitutional rights indefinitely. Call me crazy, but freedom of speech means you don't have to pay cold hard cash. All the assholes are arguing about is how much you have to pay.

 

I heard it was how they fed Roman foot soldiers. They baked fish or some other protein into a rounded loaf that was easily thrown from a 2-wheel cart.

Agreed, hard tack is a cracker. What I'm describing is a round loaf of bread in individual sizes. Usually packed with anchovies.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but an individually sized loaf of bread filled with anchovies is not a pizza.
