When I posted this thread, I didn't dream even in my best/worst imagination that it would cause such many replies.

I interpret this large extent of replies as a prove, that here's an issue which really concern people.

Let me stress my point of defending free speech:

I'm afraid of all dogmatic, rigid interpretations of any religions. We've had a bad climate of public debate about culture in my country for a long time.
I wish that the public debate will turn "democracy vs. backward religious thinking", not "Christianity vs. Islam".

If we apology these stupid cartoons, I'm afraid religion will override free speech, and I don't give a fuck which religion. I can assure you that conservative christians (and they are over-represented in our current right-wing government) are having a clear interest to limit free speech. So despite their making culture war, "Christianity vs. Islam", I can assure you that there are certain common political interests between danish conservative christians and backward imams & radical islamists.

Unfortunately, the pc's don't realize this. In fact such people just make it all worse to moderate thinking muslims in my country.
Practicing political correctness in this case is, in fact, equal to lack respect for immigrants living in my country. But, ofcourse... it's easy to have all these right opinions, living in your million-dollar-house, while all the arab immigrants are living in the suburban concrete ghetto...

We all wish for a peaceful solution to this crisis. Believe me...

I say, never apologize because people tell you to, apologize if you before they said anything thought what you did was wrong, and if people act like the muslims do now, do not apologize, they have in their actions made themselves unworthy of an apology from us...

I'm not as irritated by the fact that they had those 'mean' signs, I am more irritated that they didn't have the curage to show their face and stand up for their opinion, that's why they deserve nothing else than a one way trip home, IMO!
