I watched a news clip from sydney... They got banned in case "someone got hurt" and said the guy had to get liability insurance before he could give out more hug. The pettition got rid of the ban, though!
Far out! I can't believe they'd ban it, it's CRAZY! Why do people always want to destroy all the beauty in the world? I'm glad the petition got rid of it. I live in Sydney and i never even knew about all this! Haha.

soaring eagle, that is really amazing, i totally feel you on the "when did we stop hugging" I too believe in the power of the hug but can only imagine what a group hug of 250 people would feel like, especially to heal a brother or sister or to be healed

i was outside santa fe, nm one time and there were a bunch of old-time hippies holding up free hugs signs so we got our hugs and made some more signs to stand out there with them. then we went into the hills where a bunch of them live and spent the week partying with them. they were some really awesome people and we are considering going back this summer when it warms up.

Lol i love this thread, last yr at school athletics day there wer a couple of girls saying that they wer giving out free hugs, it was lots of fun even though i didnt no them. Im thinking of doing that at our swimming carnival lol AND i want to join in all this hugging!!! *HUGS EVERYONEEEE!!!!!* Peace and Love Jane
