Hello Guys.. I got a question..im goin to Amsterdam in the beginning of may.. Just want to ask if there is any possibility to camp for free.. I know theyre are camping places but i want to safe some money..and maybe there is a forest in amsterdam or something else where i can build up my tent.. I want to stay for more than 2 weeks.and when i dont need to pay for the night i can stay much longer.. i know couchsurfing.org but this is not what i want..i want to stay at my tent.. Camping outside of campings is illegal. You will get a fine if they catch you. Maybe you can try to find someone who has a large garden, where you can put your tent? Unfortunately I live at the other side of the Netherlands, otherwise you could camp in my garden haha
Just go to one of the campings near the centre and pay for it. I did it and had a great time! I recommend camping Zeeburg. You can not set up a tent in a park or something near the city centre for 2 weeks and get away with it.
Last year I stayed at this campsite http://www.gaaspercamping.nl/en/camping.html Also a good place to stay, good connection to the city centre, lots of nationalities.
why not go campink on the Lupensjistraat or the Kerdonskeplein? those places do not under police sirvaylence. or even the Poopenstrasseplein near the VonnStrijplejenskaat
