    Yeah, Forrest Gump has just about everything. It's well-written, well-acted, well-photographed... everything about it is excellent and entertaining. One of the best movies of all time. I love it.

    That's not it at all. It's saying that as long as you're a good person (good morals, polite, loving etc.) then you can succeed.
    I think Forrest becoming friends with Bubba in the first place shows just how uneffect he is by race- another good quality. Bubba dying is just another plot element, not a statement of a black man's low social standing.

    It depends how you perceive that film really. Me personally, i love it. first film that made me cry.
