There is no problem with the 2nd in regard to banning or restricting certain weapons...perfectly legal.
Currently the National Firearms Act of 1934 and it's revisions restricts certain types of weapons namely Machine guns, Short-barreled rifles, Short barreled shotguns, Silencers, and Destructive Devices (grenades, bombs, explosive missiles, poison gas weapons, etc. and any firearm with a bore over 0.50 inch except for some shotguns.
In addition many any other concealed weapon which can discharge a shot by explosion, such as pens, cigarette lighters, knives, cane guns and umbrella guns.

Anyway perfectly legal to add AR 15s or any other weapon Congress chooses.

How about just stop taking the amendment out of context.

Because since when has a WELL ORGANIZED MILITIA shot up a bunch of school kids?

You can't own a cannon or a cruise missile for the same reason. Because an unregulated well armed militia is a threat to democracy. Not that we've had any of that around here lately. Begging the question, of why do people form militias at all. The Pentagon has successfully tested their new swarm technology and you might as well be armed with rocks. They have bullets that follow you around the corner, and the only reason they've never broken such technology out is they don't consider militias worth revealing their hand to anyone who is actually serious.

The FBI lumps militias with the Mafia, who they mow back like so many weeds on a regular basis if they have to, and next come all the robots. So they can save more time and money. You can bet they remember Timothy McVey and, as soon as they have the technology, they will make you look like complete idiots on television, with robots rounding you up like spoiled children.

Any warrior worth the name, picks his fights carefully, knows who he is fighting for, and the real cost of winning is not money.

Sounds like you're talking Third World authoritarian system, where a small privileged elite lives off the labor of the peasants and coolies, who eke out a subsistence living. great for the elites.Great if your one of the elite. If one of the underclass, not so good--despite the myth of the happy darkies. But better health care? Must be Cuba. My own experience is that the hardest working go-getters in the U.S. are immigrants--Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, & Muslim Middle Easterners. That's why so many blue collar third generation Americans are afraid of them. Can't stand the competition.

If people think they're behaving illegally, take them to court or vote them out of office.

Isn't failing to mention the wording as a whole taking it out of context?

A well regulated militia has not shot up a bunch of school kids.

It's the citizens whose rights to keep and bear arms--rights that cannot be infringed--that have shot up a bunch of school kids.

Where did you come up with that figure? What would they replace it with?

Rome was a thriving democracy, when Julius Caesar marched the army into the city to thunderous applause. When he insisted the Roman senate give at least the upper middle class a vote, they killed him on the front steps. That was probably the best deal they could have gotten from anyone, because they were totally incapable of organizing.

    Caesar assumed power,
    After the banks took over,
    And proved totally incompetent,
    At actually running a country,
    For more than just profit.
