I believe that there people are who understand that we need to take care of the planet, adapt greener habits & lifestyle...and there are people who need to be taught to be kind to the mother. I also believe that negative terminology can propagate more negativity (and I can only hope that the double in the former sentence creates a positive ;) ) But seriously, more people understand environmental consequesences than did 20, 30, 40 & more years ago, humans are making progress

Just to point out that the Earth has been running through warm and cold cycles for millions of years WITHOUT humans. I agree that we need to take measures to save the planet, but I do not believe in global warming.

Another point..I love how Gore has a mansion that uses over 20 times the national average in natural gas, and Bush (W) has an incredible environmentally friendly home (recycles shower and rain water, uses NO fossil fuels, etc) yet Bush gets bashed and Gore gets the fucking Nobel piece prize (I assume for global hypocrisy or maybe for inventing this great internet).

But the natural warming and cooling cycles have taken taken thousands to millions of years. This climate change is unprecedented, the glaciers and ice caps are melting fasted than ever. This is not normal cycling.

    Peace and love

I think even IF humans are not causing global warming there should still be hybrid/more eco-friendly cars, trucks, machines, etc. made. There should be less oil used and live more simple. However, rich dummies aren't going to do that...they like their hummers too well. Ugh. Thats just my opinion on things. We DEFINITELY need a lot more of recycling centers that recycle EVERYTHING from metal, plastics, paper, and so on...

I love how it's the same conspiracy theorists saying that the Bush Government is part of an evil cabal are the same ones saying that Global Warming is a government conspiracy. Surely if Bush was part of the big evil conspiracy, then he'd be signing the Kyoto agreement and such? Or is it a double bluff? I dislike Al Gore, he's a hypocrite for starters, he drives an SUV. I check up on the facts. It's quite easy to play around with them and say things like 'human activity causes less than 0.1%' ect. What you're actually saying there is that 'DIRECT human activity causes less than 0.1%', you're not including the meat industry. Which gives off catastrophic amounts.

Also, nature works on very fine balances, if things get changed, even slightly, then things go quite wrong quicksmart. Pour example, you introduce cane toads into an area where nothing will eat them, and they will eat everything. The idea that it's some how arrogant saying that humans can change the world is a bit ignorant. Almost the whole of the U.K was once forest, world changed by man. Humans give off loads of CFCs, burns hole in Ozone layer, world changed. Unbelievable amounts of species wiped out by man, world changed.

We are effectively the worst things to have happened to this planet and the least we can do is try and leave it in a nice enough condition for the next dominant species when some disease or something wipes us all out.
