For the ladies: dealing with perverts at nude beaches

I think you said it pretty well. Imagine if an overly obese person walked around at a nude beach in such a manner that he/she simply wanted to display his/her obesity in an in-your-face manner.

While I enjoy the site of a guy with an erection, there is something that doesn't seem right about a guy parading it around in such a way that it's obvious he wants to show it off. I actually find it very pleasing to the eye to see a guy with an erection walking around in a natural manner. And even the heterosexual male friends of mine I go with to nude beaches with have admitted they like the site of it too.

One of the great things about nude beaches and/or nudist resorts is that we are all accepting of physical imperfections. This would include size, shape, age, color, etc. And one of the things about the size and shape of men is their penis. It can change sizes for reasons that don't have to do with sexuality. So if we're going to the nude beach on the premise that we are tolerant of all types of bodies and idiosyncracies of the body, then we should be tolerant of a part of the body that occasionally grows and shrinks.

The very men who walk around with erections on nudist beaches fail to realise that this will put some women off going to them. Not all women will confront men in the way Dario suggests. It would be a good thing if they did.

 

In the US anyway, very few women go to a nude beach alone. If some dude is wandering around acting like a perv, it's not going to be the women who admonish him. The men will take care of it.

 

Sometimes when I see a clothed pretty girl I do tend to stare, but with no malicious intent, I'm just enjoying her beauty. I'm sure there's nothing inherently wrong with that and it should probably work the same if the girl's naked too.

 

Not tolerating erections at a nude beach equates to intolerance of varying shapes, sizes & colors of our bodies. Granted one is in the wrong to flaunt it in the face of others, but I don't see why a naturally occurring erection is enough reason for one to either immediately run into the cold water or lay face down. Us women can walk around the nude beach in a very sexually exited manner (I do it) and no one is likely to notice, while men can't. Is this fair? Am I the only woman who thinks it isn't fair?

The biggest difficulty with all this discussion is that the terms being used to describe people, are utterly meaningless.

If you get down to it: Stare, gawk, dis-respectful language, all have their separate meanings to people, especially those that you perceive are performing these acts.

It is also arguable whether or not your feelings of uncomfortable are justifiable, in themselves and not some insecurity that you cannot control. Specifically, it would be better if you atleast attempted to handle your insecurities and change them, while at the beach or honestly, get out.

There are no established rules, in a nude beach. These rules also vary with each individual at the beach. Ie. I grabbed my balls and asked a guy if it was offensive and he clearly took offense. Yet at the same time, I quickly grabbed my balls in front of a group and it seemed meaningless to them....

Which one is right?

The answer is neither and if you choose to complain about it, you better be rational about it and approach the situation diplomatically when you are in a nude beach, because like I said, the rules are both not clear even with groups AND they also vary amongst groups.

Isnt this was nude beaches are about any ways, rationality, over insecurity that was bread at a young age?

I was talking with this one guy and asked him the rules and he gave me the same vague and over simplistic : dont stare, dont gawk...but honestly, a few times I gawked and stared and the person did not care...so I proceeded to do it.

Now, me enjoying the stability of taking the others emotions into account, does not warrant that all people should be this way. In fact, many people have compleltly different upbringings that do not have the element of compassion in them. These people are by no means required by law to do anything and if you have a problem with them, there are many ways to handle them.

If i had a problem with staring I would definitely just cover myself intentionally to show them that I do not enjoy their looks. Also, I would acknowledge that I have an insecurity that needs dealing with and pampering and go about undoing it while it is there.

Maybe two types of nude beaches need to exist...ones where looking freely is allowed and one where restrictions are in place; ie. 3 second stare rule, etc or no looking more than 3 times in a minute.

But honestly, this is ridiculous, because it also has to do with how attractive the on looker is. I mean, I know for a fact that uglier guys have harder times looking at girls. Ironically, uglier guys are always more needy....its a horrible cycle...really. I would hate to be an uglier guy and probally would not go to nude beach if some of you women went there....unless you were willing to change your perspective on staring and see that in some ways your bring it upon your own life to have that uncomfort.

Nude beaches are fun really, but they are obviously alot more complicated than non nude beaches really. I really just like nudism with close friends...fuck beaches where your surrounded by people who you do not trust or know the intentions of...get yourself some close friends, find a secluded place on the beach or a home and party on out, all out, nudeee.

i think there is a major missundetstanding in this thread. The OP did talk about "perverts" at nude beaches. I take that to mean e. g. men watching naked children to get sexually stimulated, or men molesting women by whacking off in front of them without invitation.

Someone getting an erection in an adequate erotic / stimulating atmosphere i wouldn't count as a "pervert" at all! The question is how to deal with. Among friends and open minded adults this shouldn't be a problem and as far as my experiences tell never was. But if it happens at a family beach, you should care not to be too offensive, just for reasons of respect and circumspection.

I do like men being open to show their feelings and having a positve body awareness. Of course this includes being open to see their body signs of sexual excitement, and in the adequate setting i often did encourage men not to hide them. To be honest, in many situations i do appreciate to see they reacting in this way ;-)

But you should accept a nude beach isn't a zone free of needs to be polite and considerate, like any other life segment too.

Is it unfair, that men's excitement is obvious? Who knows? Probably life is unfair in general ;-) When i was a kid my family used to go to a nudist camping for summer vacances and i was there usually hanging out with same aged boy. I often thought what an advantage i had not needing to take care of a penis when we did climb trees ;-)

You realize that if you take off your clothes at a nude beach, you shouldn't be surprised or alarmed in the slightest if you get looked at.

I only ask this because from reading this forum, I get the feeling that many people have somewhat different definitions of who a pervert is. Where i live we have a "free beach", it is a long stretch with good beach coverage. having said that very few women will go to it and my wife for one will not go there again at least by herself. Along the shoreline amongst the trees and outcrops are the preverts, yes for mind they are perverts. As you walk along the beach looking for a spot to put your towel down, you will see anywhere up to 10 guys in the tree lines wanking as your walking past. It is a put off for women and even myself, if i want to watch guys wanking off i'll hire a gay porno!!
With the tides being so high here (up to 7 meters) sometimes you have no choice but to walk along the treeline and it is very offputting. We now go to a nudist resort, it cost money but at least it is pervert free!

My 2 cents worth on guys with boners at the beach.... that is fine if it happens, but generally there is plenty of room on the beach so if you have a raging hard on, walk where it is less populated or sit back down on your towel or go for a swim, it will go away. There was a guy who frequented the nude beaches who everyone had a problem with. To cut a long story short, he earned the nickname "Jack Off."
