I think they were just over inflated for a while. They are back to where they should be. That and people have found other ways to watch games.
Lots of fans are tired of subsidizing teams of whining millionaires. And really, who goes to a game to watch political shit? I used to go so I could forget that kind of thing.
The 49ers aren't doing well, so naturally the sport as a whole is just more boring. Speaking of, Kaepernick's protesting the flag ordeal probably didn't help.
I don't think most football fans can tell difference between a football game and an election... As long as their team wins, that's all that matters. Not what happens afterwards in the locker rooms...or the White House.
couldnt view that one^^^ but this is the best football commercial ever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5x28ndoqKGY
I actually enjoy watching sports without a vested interest in a team on occassion. It's way less stressful and sometimes if there are compelling storylines, I find I can appreciate more how it adds to the game or series.
Exactly this. The NFL, compared to the MLB, NHL, NBA, and other professional sports organizations, has become the most politicized. And it doesn't even start with Kapernick protesting the flag and praising dictators either. The Superbowl seems to be getting more politicized each and every year. The commercials during the superbowl aren't even funny anymore.
In recent weeks there have been some great games and I’m guessing by season’s end the ratings will pick up. The ratings are still way ahead of the competition Hotwater
