Food poisoning has hit here with a vengeance. I never had it before. Stan had it curry night, but I did not get sick, so I couldn't figure out why he got it and I did not from eating curry. He was low grade for 48 hours...vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness....just in bed the whole time and drinking only water. I decided to put the last of the collard greens I had in soup last night, and they had been buttered....and not too long after finishing the collard greens soup. I became so sick.....common denominator...the collard greens with butter, as Stan had those, too, curry night, and i did not. My food poisoning reaction was more virulent than Stan's. I was vomiting all night long and diarrhea...more than he had.....It was intense, and I wanted to die.....I never felt that sick before ever. I am weak today, but have stopped vomiting now...and never want to eat another thing ...that is how I feel now.... They say when you do start eating again...the 4 to eat are bananas, applesauce, toast and rice....the brat diet....so I had that out of order. Applesauce sounds ok...but i want to vomit at the thought of the other 3 foods.... This sucks. Have you ever had food poisoning?
Sounds horrible. That is the worse feeling. Glad your feeling better. I have never had it, although i have been really sick with the same symptoms. Drink lots of water. Mineral water is good to.
I got food poisoning on my last central Euro holiday a few years ago. It may of been alcohol poisoning though.. But a friend and I had a pizza in a camping ground restaraunt. I woke up middle of the night with a mouthful of yuck, I ran to the toilet. Like ran... Spitting it all up as I went along. I got to the toilet centre and just sat down for what seemed hours. Every few minutes I had to lean into the bowl. When I had nothing left to bring up I brought up foam for hours. It was horrible. My friend had issues too but out the opposite end. On the road the next day I remember we had to stop for me nearlly every filling station so I could be sick. When it was over I was fine for half a day then had a terrible fever. I shook and shook and shivered and shivered. The next day I was fine and I remember getting back on the drink as we floated down the Rhine. The fever though had struck my immune system and I was destined to have a cold the next day for about a week. We drove to Berlin. I hate Berlin so I stayed indoors for 4 days until it passed. Still, I'll never forget that night I woke up sick, that 18 or so hours was literally "violently sick".
Thank you, Justbreathe... and irm...tell me about it....Both ends at the same time here all through the night.....I had 5 vomiting sessions since 1 am last night....at about 10 vomits each time...it was so very violent. I felt like shoot me now...i do not want to live anymore.... I slept alot of the day, and am downstairs here now to stretch out my body...as it was starting to hurt from laying down so long...but my thinking is so foggy...my head hurts and i feel like a ravaged landscape from a hurricane or something..... My brother thinks it may be rhino flu....I have to look that up to see symptoms of that....but I am convinced it is food poisoning...every time I leave the butter on the counter from the fridge...to soften up, Spanky cat licks on it when I turn my back, and i think I have gotten careless about that.....so I have to be extra careful in the future.....unless the collard greens were soaked in raw chicken blood or something in the grocery store....I have no idea.... My birthday eve here, and i don't see how I can go out to eat tomorrow night....like I was going to....Tomorrow night will be 48 hours...the time they say it should start feeling better, and if it goes beyond 48 hours....they say go to the er..... i think I will get better....I am not eating...and won't anything....just sips of water all day.....
i'm not sure if i've had food poisoning. i've had similar symptoms, but i usually just chalk that up to "being sick." i don't worry about labeling it unless it lasts more than a day or two.
fought through that shit pretty quickly...only thing is my voice is basically gone from vomiting so much....but I like the sound of what little of it I can get out.... Thinking about that lobster for later, but do not know if will go tonight...maybe.... have to exercise dogs today....they need to go out...as they were in all day yesterday, too.... Have not eaten anything yet, but am thinking about it. maybe I will just make tea with honey now..... Thanks, Ace.... am having a very good birthday....
Dinner was awful last night, and I will never go back to the Outback.....Blue cheese wedge salad was good, and I should have stopped there, and all would have been fine....but I ordered the twin lobster tails.....and made the mistake of ordering them grilled instead of streamed....they were too salty, and they were not very big, so i forced myself to eat them anyway....ugh....awful.....I barely touched the mashed potaoes...and only one piece of broccoli, and i felt sick all over again....could barely eat a forkful of birthday cake hours later...so applesauce for me today only..... I am ok now....
