I filter my drinking water. I don't quite understand how adding flouride to drinking water leads to less tooth decay when most toothpastes have flouride in them anyways. I recently switched to an all natural toothpaste but I'm a little nervous about it. I would like to see research on the rate of decay of people who use toothpaste with flouride in it versus people who do not, and also people who drink water with flouride added versus people that do not. I grew up with well water and never had a cavity as a kid. What else do they add to municipal water besides flouride? I've always had well water until about a year ago when I moved to a house within city limits, and I've noticed that ever since I moved, everytime I get out of the shower my skin is covered with a red rash that usually goes away within 30 minutes. It kinda freaks me out
Vitamin C isn't added because it's one of the most easily obtained vitamins on Earth, we should be taking in perfectly adequate amounts every day.
Indeed, lack of vitamin C has never been a problem for anyone through all of human history except for people on long ship voyages or long hiking treks back before refrigeration. Unless you're eating nothing but meat and bread based things you'll get enough vitamin C.
Yeah fluoride is fuked I have been avoiding the dentist for a couple years now lol. But yea a couple years ago I switched to fluoride free toothpaste (triclosan free also) Those people that try to make the laws that require fluoride in our water, I want them to all die. They have NO say of what should be in my body. If they can put fluoride in water I drink, I should be able to put bullets in THEIR head.
Kinda weird - do you want the inventor of the Small Pox Vaccine and Polio Vaccine dead also? Just Curious.
I'm terribly thankful I don't live in the US and actually have a choice in what I put into my body. As has been pointed out, we get plenty of cavity-preventing fluoride from toothpaste and don't need to be actually consuming the stuff. It is common knowledge that one shouldn't swallow their toothpaste, particularly fluoride toothpaste. That is because consuming fluoride is not healthy. It's true that fluoride occurs naturally in groundwater. But so does arsenic. Does that mean we should start adding arsenic to the drinking water? Of course not. Just because something is of nature doesn't mean it is safe to consume. Fluoride has its place in dental health, but should not be consumed.
Doesn't drink fluoride water Doesn't use fluride toothpaste Doesn't go to the dentist Gonna suck when you go the dentist finally and you have 8 cavities. Cavities don't have to hurt to have one. Then you should've also seen it pointed out vitamin C is found naturally in most things that aren't meat or bread based and people all around the world even going back to ancient times have never had a problem getting enough vitamin C. Also fun fact, if you live outside the US, you're getting your fluoride through salt most likely. We're not the only country that does it, in fact almost all western nations put fluoride into something. If anything that lessens your choice since almost everything has some salt on it, can't buy a britta filter for salt. Also comparing arsenic to fluride is asinine and there's a scientists reading this thread somewhere right now who just laughed his lunch out of his mouth.
The amounts of fluoride that are in things today are small anyways. Who gives a shit? "Oh, it gets my third eye crusty!" Who cares, go drop some acid and go the beach, I'm sure you'll find you can trip just fine. As for the rest well, most thing today are in some way somewhat of a potential hazard to the human body. You know what really contributes to the death of the body unlike anything else? Being born. If you're that afraid of fluoride you might as well hold your breath when you go outside, don't drink out of plastic, don't use a computer, don't sleep on a mattress. I could go on but I don't feel like it.
i'm not sure it works that way. Maybe if there were really sinister reasons for adding flouride, but I'm pretty sure they haven't figured out how to use flouride for mind control yet, so I'm thinking that murder probably isn't justified here..
I wish that were the case, but in fact our government fluoridates the water for population control. Goes hand in hand with Agenda 21 of the United Nations, its a very fucked up world we live in. The truth needs to come out so everyone knows, and we wont put up with it anymore.
Please give me sources of evidence for how fluoride can be used for population control, and examples of how this has taken effect (seeing as the world's population is greater than ever) Also a reasonable motive would back this up nicely. It's only to be expected that thinking people will want evidence to back up such a far-fetched sounding theory, and I think it is polite to give evidence when making such a claim rather than expecting people to accept it as truth because some guy on a forum said it.
Is your tin foil hat on, cause I'm about to blow your mind All of the places in blue have natural fluride concentrations in their water than the recommended municipal level. OH GOD NATURE IS TRYING TO MIND CONTROL US. Or it could be that around the same time the government was looking at a good way to solve rickets(by putting vitamin D in milk) and numerous other things, scientists and dental hygienists began noticing places around the world where regardless of access to dental care had lower levels of cavities and tooth decay in all segments of the population and began wondering "hmmm, what the hell is causing this, why don't we figure it out"

To which I respond is just more anecdotal evidence from people with too much free time on the internet that has no actual medical backing, especially as long as you're not eating a gallon of fluride toothpaste a day, also http://anzhealthpolicy.com/content/4/1/25
I grew up in a small town that had some of the purest tap water supplies in the country. Fluoride and chlorine free, it came from a mountain spring and passed through a series of filters. I didn't like drinking water from out of state including all of California and the midwest, all that water tasted like a swimming pool to me. I thought my whole state had quality water, until I moved to the biggest city in my state and learned that they fluoride the water. I was very distraught. Fluoride damages your synapses as well as your teeth (in the long term). It also accelerates bone deterioration. Go right ahead and call me a foil-wearing conspiracy theorist; that's how the mainstream media likes to portray people like me, people like me who are the government and corporation's biggest skeptics and critics. They create a bullshit conspiracy about mind reading through radio waves and tinfoil hats with spikes on top of them disrupt the signals. They do what they can to make us look like lunatics to keep other people from waking up and resisting their notions and voting for their puppets.
Or you can just like read the post 2 above yours and come to terms with your foil wearing conspiracy. Fuck science y'all, I'll believe what I damn well want to believe.
Please don't confuse us with the facts.... we've made up our minds. You might want to check where these folks get their foil hats.
