I have felt very flu-like the last 2-3 days. Very weak and fatigued, slightly achy, mild chills and a loss of appetite. I also had some nausea at first which seems to have went away. I had not had any congestion, sore throat or respiratory symptoms, so I am baffled as to what it could be. I haven't checked my temperature, but I do not seem to have a fever, and if I do it's not a high fever as is commonly reported with the flu.
Did you notice any other people who have (or had, awhile ago) the same symptoms? Last time i had something similar, lasted for about 2 or 3 days, i thought i ate something bad but soon after i learned lots of other people had it too around roughly the same time.
I think I had a mild case of the stomach bug. I had some mild diarrhea last night, but feel much better today. Plus the aches and chills have went away. The last three or four times I've had the stomach bug I had the same short-lived symptoms with mild nausea but no vomiting. I think I just have a strong immune system, or a strong stomach. Or both.
Yeps, to be clear: it was the stomach bug with me as well. Couple of weeks ago. Haven't felt that sick in years! On the 3rd day it was clear the worst was over.
The flu usually isnt accompanied by congestion, just a dry, unproductive, and very painful cough. Probably just some other virus. PR's got the funk
OMG!!! everyone stop everything!!!!! Pressed Rat doesn't feel good. Have you considered hugging your teddy bear and calling your mommy?
If you suffer from flu like symptoms then don't you just have the flu? Like when my arms all bent backwards and crooked I don't go in complaining about broken arm like symptoms. Brah. I got a broken arm.
I remember reading that a great majority of illness's that folks chalk up to a "stomach bug" or "24 hour flu" etc. are actually cases of minor food poisoning. could it be you are getting sick from some of the "farm to table" produce and meats you buy? I'm being serious about that question. If some of the stuff you get isn't pasteurized it is a possibility. Whenever I consume something that contains gluten, I run a fever, aches and pains head to toe, basically all the fucked parts of having the flu without the congestion, but with a huge extra helping of vomiting and shitting. in short an exaggerated immune system response.
