I heard from friends who lost their house in Lyons. Another lost a friend in Jamestown, to drowning. Peak to Peak washed out. Ned friends say power is out. So Coloradans, check in. Tell us what's going on where you are.
I don't typically do this, but there's a fund for the musicians in Lyons who were so hard hit. Checks can be made out to Lyons Musicians Relief Fund and sent to PO BOX 25 Lyons, CO 80540 What is interesting to me is that post Katrina, many NOLA musicians found shelter and community in Boulder. It triggered amazing collaborations, and forged musical partnerships and friendships. We will see what will be in this Wake of the Flood.
The flood did not get to my house. The river close to it got really wide, but no flooding. Although I know some people who were hit hard by it.
