anyway, i got unlazy and did some wikipedia research. you were right...

The only reason I assumed their wings were clipped is cause of that movie where the geese get imprinted on the young girl, and then she teaches the to fly south for the winter and she won't let the guy clip their wings.

And just so everyone knows, this is a Takahe...and emus and rheas are like Ostriches but from Australia and South America respectively

i can just see it now...we would be in the wild, sneaking through the trees and tall tall grass, with the mission impossible theme playing in the background. and then we would find the lost city of the dodos, and learn all about them and have a kick ass party
