That's a bean pod, not a bean. Gee. You're really going to argue that a bean is flat? Technically, even a pod isn't flat -- not like a sheet of paper is flat. And the very term "flat" is inconsistent with galaxies anyway. They're not flat.
Maybe in a happy turn of coincidences string theory and green bean theory become one and is called string bean theory.
