The second amendment was placed in American law for a reason. The framers of the constitution wanted a militia to defend against European armies, and weapons in the hands of white settlers so the Indians could be eradicated. During that early time in American history, Indiana were shot left and right when ever whites wanted more land farther on west. They even burned Indians alive in Ohio. Later on guns were needed by the southern planters to control the African slaves and to bring them back to their white owners when they escaped. Now that everyone agrees that there is no constitutional right to hunt wild game, and since we don't have slavery any more, the second amendment should be repealed and the guns confiscated.
