well, JEEZ. honestly, i don't understand how so many gorgeous people have so many insecurities. i'm half that good looking and i have no problems a'tall.
Mmmm hmmm. I'd love to catch a shark. I only mostly go bass. It's been too long since I've been fishing. Thanks a lot winter. But now the suns doing its thing, so I think I may go out with my roommate this week before I move.
me, dave, his dad and grandpa went elk hunting in the carson national forest. dave's grandad was elderly and kinda sickly, so we geared the hunt around him, which basically meant driving around a lot until we could find a place to set him up. the whole time we were out there, he'd be telling us stories about old hunting trips and working the texas and arab oil fields. he'd start every sentence with "yer talkin' 'bout that..." we got the absolute best picture of him, out there, dressed in his drab green and blaze orange, holding his rifle. he cut his face on a branch, and there's a little blood on there, and you can tell he's feelin' full-on man-style and had the biggest smile on his face. we put it in this rustic yellow and green frame. he died about a month ago, and dave went down for the funeral. dave was always a trouble making punk, and the black sheep of the family. but he stepped up out of love and respect for his grandad and was allowed to be a pallbearer. no questions or past recriminations. dave took that picture down, and handed it to his grandmother. they put it in a place of honor and grandmother couldn't stop looking at it and hugging it to her chest. so never ever discount pics of men being happy men. they're beautiful.
I'm going Halibut fishing this summer; its tradition. Me, my buddy, and our two dads have been going for over a dozen years now.
very nice. dave goes fly flishing. he looks so cool in his waders and fishing hat. i only went fishing once when i was 8 or 9, that's suburban california for you. dave has tried to take me, but he spends so much time fishing himself when he's "teaching" me that hours go by with me ever touching the fishing rod. pfft.
Ah. I try to spend a couple days each going after sockeye and pinks. But really, its just an excuse to drink beer at 9 in the morning and be a sportsmen rather than a bum.
I know this thread is a little old but I was searching for fishing threads and this one came up. I don't post pics of my face either but I guess theres and exception in the fishing forum... Anyways: This is a 49 lbs Black drum:
