If it's non-toxic then why does it burn people out and cause permanent brain damage? This is caused by the bleeding in the brain, trust me, I have plenty of acid heads who did it half their lives and are burnt out and half retarded, these are people who all went to college one even has multiple degrees in biology, mechanics etc etc he was just going to college to learn learn learn.
MrDot what the fuck are you talking about? Hahahahahaha. Please give me a list of links that confirm that LSD makes your brain bleed... Hahahaha.
spoken like a man with absolutely no evidence behind his claim. I assume your friend has flashback-seizures whenever he cracks his spine?
LSD does not cause your brain to bleed. http://www.erowid.org/ask/ask.php?ID=3022 and please, do continue mouthing off to other members, it just makes you look even smarter.
so, if i cant find anything to support someone else's bullshit claim, its my fault? thats probably the most idiotic thing ive ever heard. *not ranting, just ticked at this guys unsubstanciated ignorance*
if anyone were to ever ask me i would say trips booms it is the best thing ever and dont trip a pussy 1.5 go all out and trip at leat and 1/8 they will take u to a world that you will never want to leave
brain bleeding...oh jeez. MrDot, did you actually believe those 1970's propaganda films? FYI, the government lies.
Salvia rarely causes a bad trip? Are you insane? I have seen grown men reduced to crying infants after they had the most terrifying experience of their life. Salvia is VERY powerful, and VERY overwhelming if you are not prepared to go deeper then most people have gone before.... It may last only 5 minutes, but an intense Salvia trip seems like it lasts FOREVER....time doesn't make any sense on Salvia, and it might physically only last 5 minutes, but mentally it could be a 4 month experience while it is happening. Here is my take on it: Salvia is only for the very experienced psychonaut. One who has had ego-loss, and can deal with it easily. Salvia can take you places you never want to be again, and can make you terrified for quite a while after, just thinking about where it "took" you. LSD is intense, and it lasts a little too long for my tastes. The majority of my LSD trips have lasted well over 12 hours. It's the only drug I've actually wanted to "stop." After a while I was just like, "okay, I'm done tripping, I want to be back to normal again please." Shrooms are fun, and the body high is more enjoyable then with LSD, in my opinion. It's not as intense as acid either, it's fairly easy to manage a bad trip, especially considering the duration is MUCH shorter then LSD. I would choose Mushrooms if I could go back and do it all over again. I did LSD first and was not even close to ready for that mind shattering experience. Again, this is just my opinion, but to say Salvia rarely causes a bad experience, means you probably haven't experienced the full potential of Salvia yet. Even the most experienced trippers can have extremely difficult times with Salvia. Last little note I have.... You are trying to decide on a drug to try, but you are scared to take something you can't handle. If you aren't mentally ready, and you are scared to take something, 98% of the time you are going to have a difficult experience. The best trips come from being mentally prepared, and having the mind cleansed, with no bad thoughts. If you are worried about it at all, I really say you should wait before trying any of these, but if you MUST try one of them, I still stick by the mushrooms. It's a shorter duration then LSD, and it's not as intense, in my opinion. If you do decide to try Salvia, just make sure you have trip sitters there, so they can prevent you from moving around while on the trip. Salvia isn't something you can think to yourself "oh okay, all this is happening because I took Salvia...I will be fine in a couple of minutes." You will be too far gone to even begin to render a thought like that.
i have done salvia countless times. he is right about that time does not exist... you are in another world/time. however, i have never had a bad experience. it feels that your brain turns off and that you just try to make sense of what is going on. the first time i smoked salvia, i ended up on the ground laughing hysterically for 10 minutes. another time, i thought i was spiderman because the street turned into a building. another time, my friend appeared to be a dinosaur and i was underground trying to get back up. it is intense, but doesnt have any meaning. you just feel stupid after. LSD allows you to think somewhat clearly...
Salvia DOES have meaning, you just need to learn to analyze what you experience. Every psychedelic experience has meaning, Salvia is no different, IMO. I think Salvia actually could have the potential to have MORE meaning then an LSD trip. You just need to learn how to sit down and go over what the trip could have meant. It takes time to learn how to analyze trips, but once you can, you will understand what I mean.
Ive had some very intense salvia experiences, but nowhere near as intense as you describe. my most intense involed the appliences 'mocking" me, which would likely have become a bad trigger on lsd or shrooms. however, on salvia i reacted more "objectively".
Being apprehensive before a trip is reasonable and common. It shows you understand that these chemicals are something that ought to be respected. I was worried about having a "bad" trip, but I knew they were uncommon and honestly felt that my heart was in the right place. Timothy Leary's advice was to accept the possibility of a bad trip, and just go through with the experience. More than likely, an hour after ingesting whichever psychedelic you wind up deciding to go with, you'll be having a ball and the thought of a bad trip will be miles away.
Not more then likely. If you go into a trip worrying about having a bad trip, "more then likely" you will have a difficult experience.
I just tried acid with an open mind. I did not know what to expect. I was convinced I was going to die at one point. But what really helped me out, was talking to people. to anyone. because it stopped me from going into a loop... At the peak, I was going with the flow and it was amazing... I think a bad trip is more temporary... Can it last the entire duration of the trip?
Definetely, you can have a terrible, awful time for the whole duration of the drug, and then for the rest of your life afterwards. There are actually people who took it once, had a terrible time, never solved their issues or took it again to solve their issues, and lived the rest of their lives a little worse for the wear because of it. You can always address the problem with a bad trip, either during a bad trip, or afterwards, whichever is easiest. The best is to just face your problem during the peak itself, during the worst part of the bad trip, just turn your consciousness around to face the problem and deconstruct it. It's really not as hard as it sounds it just takes a lot of willpower.
Maybe if they keep having that belief reinforced, but if they understand that a bad trip is possible and beyond their ability to control (other than using common sense when determining when and where to trip), I see no reason why a little pre-journey anxiety ought to prevent a person from taking the plunge.
A little anxiety is fine, but if someone is slightly terrified before going into it, I think they should wait. Same reason I haven't dropped again...even thinking about dropping acid again makes my heart race, because it scared the shit out of me.
