in my personal opinion- combing is not unnatural.

though they are not technically considered to be natural or neglect dreads, backcombing or twist n rip shouldn't be considered fake or unnatural in anyway.

its still hair and as long as you didn't put any chemicals (for instance dread perms, wax etc) then its still hair's natural state.

a lot of people who backcombed, etc saw them fall out and then knot back up.

still equals locked/dreadlocked hair.

thus we all have dreadlocks and the bigotry about natural vs unnatural is unnecessary.

99% natural is cool with me. they look good and are clearly still dreadlocks.

 

loose hairs are finally starting to lock up nicely
