Quake 1 was good, but the plot/storyline budget was obviously spent down the pub. Duke Nukem had the better single player plot, and some twisted humour thrown in...I just wish I could find a copy of the originasl Wolfenstein...ahh, the memories :)

I'm currently playing the Jedi Knight series...Outcast and Academy. Doom with lightsabres...tres bien :D

Does anyone remember Rise Of The Triad? One of the good FPSs that was overlooked because of the Quake/Duke battle

I remember ROTT, although I only played the Demo. It was good.

Yeah, I only got to play the ROTT demo...I loved the dual-pistol shtuff. :p

I think I remember seeing it at Best Buy awhile back...it was in a double-pack with Duke 3D; something like "East Meets West" or something of the sort. ;)

    online games are the best,

cant wait for doom 3 and halflife 2(also halo 2). i think in some respects
the doom 3 engine will own over halflife 2 and vica-versa

Counter-Strike is an excellent online shooter but I can fault it for one major thing ... it's not easy to be a newbie at the game. It gets VERY frustrating that you only live for a minute that have to wait the rest of the game to finish before you can go again. Too many pros!
