Sorry to thread jack but I've been wondering if its possible to die from the sleep deprivation of a meth run, or if your body will eventually shut down until it gets enough rest.

if death is possible about how long?

I hate meth. I've never done it but I have watched it destroy a few young lives and it's scary and it hurts. Once people get into it they aren't themselves anymore and they don't even realize it. They lie about everything, you can't trust them with anything, they rarely make sense, they don't listen to anyone.. ah the list just goes on and on. Luckily a couple friends who were getting into it got themselves out just in time. It's so easy to get dragged down that road and not even realize until it's too late. :(

I can tell you , from sitting with MAtt when he was getting clean , that YES , its possible to crash and die from exhaustion due to being on a long Meth high.
He would actually relax from having no meth in his system that his breathing would become too shallow , then he would stop breathing all together , and I would have to wake him up. Not an easy thing to do to someone whos so exhausted they cant function.
I found out later that he really should have got clean in a hospital where they could monitor those things , but, luckily , he made it , and has been clean from meth 20 years now.

once i heard of a man who couldn't sleep at all because he developed a spontaneous and extremely rare nervous illness. I'm no physician and can't explain that right but the poor guy had his sleep mechanism just broken, and was stuck in "waking mode". sleep pills, hypnotics and stuff were useless. It took one year until he finally could sleep in death. so i dont think that someone can possibly die for some drug-triggered sleep deprivation... i think that heart or kidneys failure come sooner. personally meth and amphetamines scare me even more than opiates do. the old hippie rule of thumb according which needle drugs must be avoided should be updated... there is a lot of deadly evil shit that you can smoke snort or swallow to your bodily and -what's worser- mental ruin.

I am for freedom and choice so I have nothing to object if someone is willing to play with his own brain and body taking dangerous drugs. "Normal" folks do a lot of risky things, from driving a car to annoying dangerous wild animals in their environment , or free climbing over horrific mountains , or jumping from a plane, or joining the army. They are not regarded as crazy outcasts and (except for the last example :peace:) should be left free to do what they want provided that they also know how high are the stakes they're playing and this involves being a bit grown up. But the fact that these are highly dangerous activities , and the nature of the risk, shouldn't be passed under silence under any circumstances. I've grown sick of hearing stories of youngsters trapped early in drug-induced psichosis. i cant possibly imagine why one can be willing of being awake and pointlessly frantic ten days in a streak, but if that's what he craves for, he doesnt drive cars and he knows the risks, including sexual impotence, craziness, illness, jail and/or death well wtf, have fun man.

meth is really fucking stupid. if youre willing to do it, then I say do it. Because you'll stay out of public most of the time so no one will have to be around the stupidity youre walking around with. Then sadly (I wont feel bad for you), you'll lose everything you have. After that, the only way any meth head is getting pity from me is when they are really wanting to get off it. You've had your warnings. Listen to people thats actually went down that road. Don't be stupid.

Meth is not like pot or shrooms or anything that will put you on a "trip". Meth is really some scary stuff and it's obnoxiously addictive. I had a friend that started it when she was like 13. The last time I saw her, it wasn't a pretty sight

i have done meth a few times, its fairly crazy, very intense rushing type buzz like super long lasting crack. I wouldnt really advise it tho, especially if your mind is of the weaker disposition. One of my friends that tried it with us and did the same or probly less, got really paranoid after about a day on it and thought kids on biks ere spying on him and stuff. This level of intense paranoi lasted for probably about a month-ish and gradually wore off over about a year ( sort of) although he's never been he same since. Another off my fried kept blacking out and having wierd fits too whilst he was on it, although this might have been to do with the bottle of poppers he was constantly sniffing :¬S YUK!

To summerise... its not really worth it fo the buzz you get + the comedown is really nasty unless you have some serious sedatives on hand.

Like everone else has said; get some shrooms maaaan! :p

meth is crap, its chemical, dangerous, and it makes you live too fast for your own good.
I've heard from people that when you do speed kinda stuff, you live shorter because you live too fast.
lay off it, seriously. Everything not natural uppers or downers are crap.
