A devastating fire burned a church down. Not a single Bible was touched by the flames Praise god!!!! God wants to get awareness
Bullshit. Go try and set a phone book on fire / The compressed nature of books makes them hard to burn unless shredded.
"laugh away fuckface--by morning it'll be in every major newspaper."--Repo Man. ( not directed at you,Libby)
oh Lord our bibles are safe but where we going to go to church oh well its going to be like a Potluck picnic until our church gets fixed
Their would have been several reasons that books survived. Their construction and heavy natural fiber covers, their location low down on the pews and the fact that fire draws air upwards. Also, how did they know that "not a single bible was damaged", I doubt that many churches to a regular stock-take on their bibles. Regarding firefighters pulling out, the two most likely reasons would have been fear of partial collapse, or steam, that can penetrate their clothing and cause terrible damage. The flash-point of card and paper is around 300 degrees centigrade. Firefighters would not have been working inside at that temperature. This all sounds like a story that has been blown up and exaggerated by the media.
