News last night= Camera set to focus on people from the knees down in front of a 17th century work by one of the masters. A museum some where--maybe Italy? Anyway, a boy (whose whole body can be seen close to the rope keeping folks back) -holding a soda trips and rams his hand through the Painting!! It was said to be worth a million and a half!! I reckon-"you break it , you buy it," doesn't count in this deal. Leave it to a clumsy kid. (sorry--I don't remember where it was)
wow......no one should be allowed in any museums with a soda or anything to drink or eat....and people keep hold onto your children...children running around places they should not be running around in, always annoy me.
There's now a controversy over whether the painting is actually a $1.5 million Paolo Porpora or a $34,000 Mario Nuzzi.
It's this simple. I don't think any museum with that kind of paintings does allow that stuff here though. Maybe Taiwan is a little behind on such museum rules.
lots of 12 year olds MAKE fine art too. nor is it reasonable to expect anything to last for ever. as for dollar value, people are nuts to worship money. sorry to see such a thing happen. europe has a reputation for being a lot looser then the u.s. about letting people wander around with open beverages. just as a guess, i'd expect they'll be a lot stricter against doing so in that particular gallery. i think its messed up for something like that to happen, but unlike letting corporations destroy sources of food and life for hundreds of thousands of people, this isn't something that killed anybody.
