    What I may consider good intentions others may view as quite the opposite.

    If you had to state it, it did not go without stating.

    Hmmm, did I say I didn't believe it?

    Seems like your having a hard time sticking a label on me, now doesn't it.

    As far as intelligence goes, tell C.S. Lewis he is stupid for being a Christian, oh Hell, just go tell all these people they are idiots why don't you;

    Was raised catholic. Became atheist at 15. Got into the occult at 18. Now I'm catholic again for several reasons. One being mental stability.

    Congratulations gang, I actually made it to page 12, 114 posts before I had to delete something in a religion thread.
    Then I had to do a few.

    That used to be one of my main jobs over in Philo/Religion, that was the reason for the Christian Sanctuary over there.

    The "new rules" in Christianity posted in 2007 by Skip were in response to all the spamming, cut and pastes, and prosthelytizing that went on.

    ..........Remember to turn the other cheek and so on.

    Christianity and science can go together just fine
    if you don't believe things like the Bible saying seven days literally meaning seven days, etc.

    I see no reason they can't go together.

    Totally agree here, AT. I have long thought that believing in science and the bible is not an either/or situation. In fact, I think they can compliment each other quite well.

    That link provided by NGas shows there are apparently others (big brains even!) that don't think science and religious belief are mutually exclusive.

    there are these things called search engines.
    i don't believe any religion has been fatally misplaced or completely forgotten at any time within the past three or four thousand years.
