Finally made time for a patchy skirt

    Thnks I'll check it out!

    To make the patchy skirt , I had just been peicing peices that I had for a while in a giant bag, some had been made to be apart of something else but I ended up patching it all together in strips.. Did that make sense?

    Hmm, I think so. Is that how you got that puckery look at the bottom of your skirt?

    I am asking because I made a skirt that turned into such a disaster by sewing it in the way you're describing: starting with a small horizontal strip and the top and moving down with wider and longer strips.

    Guess I'll have to just give that technique another try!

    I gathered it using two wide stitch lengths along the ruffle and then sewing the gathered peices together.
