    I love movie music =) all of it.

    My Favourites at the moment are:
    James Newton Howard - Batman Begins
    Richard Gibbs & Bear McCreary - Season 1 & 2 of Battlestar Galactica

    and my all time favourite movie composer has to be Danny Elfman.

    Cliff Martinez - Solaris OST (best soundtrack imo)

    He also did the traffic soundtrack which is good

    Clint mansell - requirem for a dream and Pi OST's (both amazing albums)

    holy shit.
    Amazing Albums.
    I paint to it.

    Also, it doesn't fit here
    but i always had a fondness of the blues brothers soundtrack...

    2nded... Koyaanisqatsi is another good one by Glass.

    Off the top of my head I also like:

    Bernard Herrmann
    John Williams (especially Star Wars)
    Don Davis

    Someone mentioned the Princess Mononoke OST by Joe Hisaishi, I second this. I'll also add Gattaca and The Piano, both OST's by Michael Nyman.

    Jurassic Park theme. American Beauty has some pretty good songs too. Sherlock Holmes soundtrack for both movies are kick ass. Pretty much anything by Danny Elfman lol.

    The Good The Bad And The Ugly. My favorite soundtrack for over thirty years. By one of my favorite contemporary composers. Ennio Morricone. I listen to a lot of classical music and the music on this track is still in my top 20 after all of these years.
