Figuring out how to fill my free time.

I'm "retired".
I have an idea for a hobby, and it is livestreaming stuff on youtube. i've kinda started learning about it.. I've learned enough to start doing it. Here's some things I've learned so far:
95% of streamers are gamers. I am not.
OBS studio is easy enough to use, I think i got it down good enough to go live for real
I have THOUSANDS of old photos to scan, so that's what I'm initially going to focus on.
I don't know where or how to promote myself, like can I just link my Youtube channel in my signature?
I don't even plan on making money, but I'd at least like to have a FEW subscribers.. as it sits i have 91, and most are probably abandoned accounts.
If anyone has any experience with this, let me know!

 

I like lighthearted "variety" or "current events", such as the content of fluffeetalks or TMZ. I like the morning show subjects, minus the celebrity worship. Basically "watercooler talk" type stuff.

I need and can get a good microphone, camera, and schedule, and format. I just don't know how to get exposure, or where to promote myself without money.

 

create what you can, explore what you can, learn as you go.
why do people even care if anyone else is paying attention to them?
(other then to avoid creating needless advisaries)

i can't even imagine empty time, that i'm not trying to figure out something.

why ask if you already know what you want?

nothing that robs no one of their own thoughts and beliefs requires the approval of anyone other then yourself

why is exposure a concern? just make stuff and post it where others can see it.
those who find it interesting will, those who don't won't.

i think the idea of people wanting to make themselves a big deal is a mistake.
that's not where gratification, fulfillment, enjoyment even, whatever you want to cal it, comes from.

it is the act of creating itself, and or exploring, and then sharing it with those of like minded interest.
we're all different, have different ideas, different ways of looking at things, different aesthetics we find pleasure in,
at least that's the way i believe it to be intended to be.

there are community college classes in pretty much the things you are say you need or want to know that you don't yet.
there is of course examples of other bloggers for ideas too. one i kind of like is boe of the fifth column on youtube.
not sure i have the spelling even close, i think i got the phrase about right.

i mostly watch things about little furry creatures, or technologies and sciences that interest me,
i mostly get tired of stuff about personalities, celebraty or not.

i only mention myself because it addresses the topic question.

 

Ahh death my friend , I myself wonder the same thing what to do with all my free time ...I am writing a book at the moment and painting and just doing whatever here and there ..either way try to structure your day with consistency or no consistency as both work ...whatever you do ..have a good day
