I'm sure it is. But I am opting for the laugh-and-cringe of the title alone. And thanks for it. I did get a laugh.
i just think the whole fan fiction thing is kind of...well... not my thing. the sex was hot; can't really see why it of all the great erotica books has made it to such fame, though. i liked Bound to You better; shorter and sweeter and... not-so-sweeter >
reading erotic books is better on kindle.. no chance of the pages sticking together.. which means you can't sell them second-hand.. did I say "second-hand"? ohh what a pun..
Back in the day we read Lady Chatterley's Lover.. basically posh lass heads off to cabin everyday in the wood to get rogered by the gardener..
I just read a series called "Making of a Cuckold Husband" by author Dakota Langdon, incredibly hot. It has elements of swinging, submission, dominance, etc, but more graphic and less romance compared to 50 shades. It's not perfect writing but it more than does the job when in need of a "quick fix" and is highly erotic I'm in love with the husband and wife depicted in the story.
I felt somewhat let down with the 50 Shades Trilogy. I found the writing so repetitive...it was annoying....all sex scenes ended the same way.....it became so boring to the point that my inner goddess wanted to jump off her lounge sofa and stab herself in the eye with a riding crop.
Hahaaaaa yeah I feel the same way. Found them boring, and the sex was so unrealistic. And a bit too soft, I think it would have been more interesting if she had accepted his proposal.
I read a bit of the first 50 Shades book to see what all the fuss was about. It's barely even erotic. It's just very poorly written, very stupid and not the slightest bit erotic. Seriously, I thought Twilight was bad, but the porn fanfiction version of it is so much worse. If it gets women to open up about their sexuality and explore new things, then that's awesome. But all I ask is for the book to not be horrendous on every level. There's some great erotic fiction out there. Why is this the one that becomes a mainstream success?
Victoria, you re so right... She always bites on her lips when she is not sure about something and give this guy on her first time a blow job... it s an horrible book and I couldnt wait to put it away and in the end I really did it ^^
I agree the sex was dull and repetative. WAY too soft and yes.. she needs to write an alternate book where she does accept the original proposal!
The worst piece of crap I ever forced myself to read. The blushing/flushing/biting lips! The grammar, GOD the grammar! You know why it's so popular? Because people do not want to be challenged by what they read! It used to be that as you got older the reading level would increase - eg, go look at any old children's fiction "Peter Pan" J.M Berrie or "Little Women" by Alcott. But nowadays no one wants to make reading difficult, or god forbid, make you actually think! So they write grade 6 level erotica and feed it to the stupid masses. Librarian out! *drops book* ~ FM
I read the books. I couldn't read all the words in it, because I found it boring and not well written. So, I read them skipping large chunks. But I did enjoy reading them. The SM parts are not nice, not convincing. The sex parts are also not realistic. The romance part is eau de rose. And yet, it is readable. I think just because it is different from the books I usually read. It's very light stuff and it makes for relaxed reading. Since none of the characters is charismatic, you don't really care what happens to them, so, it's just flipping pages. I wouldn't have paid for them, but since they were free, I enjoyed the fluff reading. I miss that kind of book, but I'd love to get my hands on a well written one, with developed characters and realistic sex. Since such thing is hard to come by, one reads b-books like 50 shades.
My wife read this book. She was so busy with it and did not wanted me to cuddle her. I fell asleep. In the morning she said: "I got so excitied and wanted you but you were sleeping".
