I've enjoyed the World Cup. Perhaps in quality terms its been the best so far.
But after its over, I'm gonna be having a break from football for a year or two.
Selling off my season tickets while I'm away from it. Not watching it on TV.
Club football is just poisoned. Its not a sport, in England atleast. Like in America its only businesses, as some crude parody of what used to a cultural thing.

Its like cheering for Wal Mart ie fucking moronic.
Can't say I'll miss it.

 

Actually I was going to mention Van Damme, and while he can really kick ass the vast majority of his movies sucked – they just never found him the right script

I vaguely remember, that his best film was the 1st one?

He was ok, but I don't think he was the same universe as Jet Li, Bruce Lee or someone like that. I was watching a Bruce Lee vid recently, and I was just thinking "how the fuck did he do that".

 

His fighting prowess was at least up there with Steven Seagal but he never had the right director, script, or martial arts choreographer to showcase his great gift.
