Festival Report...still tripping

yeah I spent most of it in a k hole tripping off my face but then again so was just about every person I met. Great weekend though.

What exactly is 10k is that just sort of a big jam (the music kind ) festival

And purp if you dont understand it then druggy raves arent for you...sorry bout that cus your missing out a lot

sounds bloody awesome mate, pretty much two weeks from now i got 15 months off from the world so i'm hittin up as many as i can blag me way into. only definite plan is reading cos i got a ticket, glade and i'm thinkin of heading to Berlin for the fuck parade (technoviking ftw lol) i wanta go to some smaller electronica/dnb setups around too. oh, and i got a mate reserving a ticket for exit festival in serbia, but i might haveta pass cos organising the interrailing through Europe looks like its gonna be more trouble than its worth (we're starting in amsterdam, and in my experience plans that start with "we meet up in amsterdam" tend not to get that far past that stage lol, also i don't have the money) this summers gonna be the bang nd if u see a guy about wearing a gorilla suit and trippin balls, go over and pat him on the head i'm sure he'd smoke you out :cheers2:

excellent story now heres mine.

So last weekend was mountain jam www.mountainjam.com in upstate NY in the Catskills, several of my close friends were moving out west right after the show so I really wanted to go but didnt have the 200 bucks to get in. Friday night everyone left and I told them I was not going to go. Saturday morning rolls around and for some reason the first thing I thought of was "GOTTA GO TO MOUNTAIN JAM!" so I pack in a hurry, power drink some coffee, fill up my truck and just start driving to upstate which isnt exactly a quick drive, I had no real plan but I google mapped the place and had an idea of what to do when I got there. So on the way I had people taking pictures of the bracelets and sending them to me on my phone and my friends were scoping the place out for weaknesses. The braclets were golden so I stopped 20 miles from the festival and went to walmart and bought mad gold shit and whipped up a bracelet. Then I drove to the festival and drove around the mountain a few times taking in the scene and trying to remember what google maps looked like and what my friends have told me. So finally I decided to park but managed to drive into a ditch i didnt see, 2 of my wheels were sticking up in the air and I was fucked. I called triple A but before they got there some nice guy pulled me out without me even asking, right then triple A showed up and I had to explain to them what happened, I felt like a jerk but fuck it. So now im at the base of the mountain and what I had to do was walk up one side get on a ski trail and walk down it and jump a fence. Knowing this I decided to carry light only what I could take. So I walked up the side of the mountain for like an hour and sneak through some condo development and I find the gate where the fence was. Some tripped out people were wandering around outside the gate so I asked them were the way in was and they showed me, I went over the fence and set up shop, it was great. I was there for like a half hour before i walked to the stage, on the way there a cop flies out of nowhere and points and me and says "come here!" I thought I was fucked. I walk up to him drinking a beer and he goes "you cant have bottles at the stage, FINISH THAT BEER, then put it in the back of my car" needless to say he got a "yes sir" from me, I power drinked it put it in his car and then he told me to enjoy myself and took off!!! it was great.

long story short that night it dipped into the 30s and I didnt have proper anything so I snuck back out tripped out walked down the mountain and chilled in my truck with the heat on for like an hour and a half, then I noticed a state cop chilling next to me so I grabbed more warm shit and shuffled back up the side of the mountain and managed to get some sleep, I spent the whole weekend there without a problem and got to see my friends! it was so awesome, cant wait for gathering of the vibes next!

 

yeah for sure, mate. i've heard some wicked stuff about offworld, asides from anything else i reckon it'd be a perfect place to pop the old acid cherry

not heard that much about shambala what kinda vibe and music and that does it have?

 

haha good to hear your all in the same boat :cheers2: might have to check out Offworld and Shambala too. I have free reign the whole summer and dont mind hitching to England so I guess we'll see what happens.
