any one else seen this movie? i just picked it up the other day and its incredible. has the dead, the band, janis joplin, and a couple other bands. it was a big traveling concert that went through canada in 1970 and the whole time the bands are on the train it is just a big party and a jam. its an awesome movie to watch with some good footage. i highly suggest it to you guys, i sure loved it heres an amazon link to read more about it: http://www.amazon.com/Festival-Expr..._bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1233450876&sr=8-1

Wow, i'm so glad to have found this post, I was just about to post Festival Express in the movies forum! I saw it recently, maybe a couple of months ago and I loved it. I love watching old footage like that especially of the dead. It had a lot of great moments in it from concerts to just jamming out on the train. How fun would that have been to been in the train with all these talented musicians and beautiful souls. Ahhhh, how it revives my love for Grateful Dead as well as makes me miss Jerry terribly so! But yes, anyone who hasn't seen it, definitly should check it out!! peace and love!<3
It's a cool movie, they get all drunk and stoned on the train throughout the trip but still manage to rock out.
i cracked up unpacking merch last weekend. Tom Rush is peddling it on his merch tables. So I wind up thinking where, exactly was he in the film? all night.
