1. The Hipforums announces it first ever fundraiser. After nearly 30 years online, we must ask our members and guests to help support the website. Thanks to years of ongoing financial support of our members, advertisers and volunteer admin staff, we have been able to keep the forums alive.

Now we must ask for help as available funds have all been used for our Internet server and other fees.

So please donate any amount to our PayPal account donate@Hipforum.com to keep the site going. If we can get enough for a few months fees, we won't need to nag you again!

You could also subscribe to the forums and get an upgrade to Supporter or Lifetime Supporter here

My youngest sibling is nearly 21, and this is STILL my mom's philosophy! Even in my entire adult life (I've been out of my parent's home since 16 or so) I have never had a single crisis of any sort where my momma didn't immediately ask whether her presence would be needed or wanted. Even when in her fifties she went back to school and started an entirely new life and career with my dad, in another part of the country from all her kids, she always seems mentally prepared to drop it all for the needs of her kids. (When I had to have an emergency surgery a couple of years ago I actually had to beg her NOT to fly out, knowing there was nothing she could do to help. Even after begging I was worried for days that she would just "show up")

ITP - you are a gorgeous mother-goddess! I know everyone else has said it, but one more can never hurt! I agree that Weight Watcher's might not be NECESSARY, but I seem to remember you saying there isn't a convenient LLL group to you, so maybe WW would be a helpful substitute (as far as the group encouragement, counseling type thing goes at least). I'm sure there's a plethora of online communities as well, including here and in the health forum. We all want you happy and healthy! :)
