Feel detached from society, as if I was born in the wrong era.

At your age you should have:
-At least 3 investment properties and share portfolios
-At least 10 thick folders of holiday snaps to remind you how good your life was
    -At least 5 grandkids
-Superannuation to plan until your death

    No excuses!

Dude, do you have any idea what actually happened in the 60's, or WHY the 60's happened?

That's two us us-damn-where did we go wrong? LOL

Seriously-not everyone who has made a good decision, bought low, sold high, is a crook.

Young folks want more??=figure it out-buying low and selling high is part of it.

Got 20 friends and want to start a commune-chip in your bucks, buy a place, get a mortgage, live in it (party, party, party) . a 20th of a mortgage payment isn't a lot, couple hundred a month-pay off the mortgage-help others start a commune-you'll be the commune king-damn that's starting to sound to much like business-never mind

I think...being a "hippie" is a state of mind. It colors al that you think in your head. It is a state of being.
Traveling somewhere else isnt necessarily going to make you feel better. You need to seek out like minded people, and live your life without compromising you're principles.
Myself.... I want out, I dont believe what other people tell me I need, to be happy Happy for me, is to be free!

So let's see... the 60's were the greatest years. Been there done it. Let's face it the kids wanted to run away from home get stoned and laid. You NEED money to live. Lot of those kids thought begging was the way to go. Some thought a group of them could live off the land. Ever see how much work a farmer does in one day. OK getting "back to the garden" is a fine thought. Paradise is a state of mind, not a place. I live in Canada and would not live anywhere else in the world. I live a mobile lifestyle. I think I posted of my pick up truck with a high rise cap. It has everything I need. I have the illusion of freedom... but also the ability to be where I want to be. I don't dress like a hippie, because I need income to live. I work part time in nursing and can do so anywhere I want. This fall thinking about moving to Vancouver Island. Check it out if you don't know where it is. If you are thinking of moving here, there are a few legal things to consider. Feel free to message me. Pleased to help a fellow traveller on there journey.

I feel the exact same way. It's like everyone I know is brainwashed and I can't find people that see things the same way I do, especially in college where everyone is so preoccupied with their self-image instead of what's best for them. I wish there was a way to reach these people and bring them to the light, but it feels more like a lost cause everyday.

What I want is Peace, or at least people who want Peace. The first is kinda difficult to obtain, but the 2nd - much easier. I feel detached sometimes too, but those of us who do, gotta stick together. Let's create an era that we like to live in. Things don't have to stay the same, let's make a change. :)
