Lady, you're obsessed. Once again, the thread is about the Federal Troops in Portland, who seem to be leaving and the situation there is calming down. In your whole morass of fulmination over the organization BLM, the only statement that's relevant is "So now I believe Portland has called for abolishing the police, as has seattle. Abolish, not defund. Caving to the demands of a racist far lef5 group. This is exactly what blm is demanding, something that Farrakhan wants too." Portland is the whitest major city in the country: 72.2 percent white and only 6.3 percent African American. I seriously doubt that the organization BLM is calling the shots there. Not even Trump says that. He prefers to blame Antifa (Please spare us the tirade linking Antifa to BLM. We've been through that.) So what is this now about Portland and Seattle calling for abolishing the police? You say you believe it. On what basis? As for what I would think of Trump cozying up to David Duke, I'd probably think this was a continuation of his pattern of using race as a political tool--not necessarily that he in his heart of hearts is a racist, but that he has no compunctions about using race for political advantage. If it were to his advantage to throw David Duke under a bus, or to distance himself from him (which he's done) he'd do that, too. What do I think about BLM leaders cozying up to Louis Farrakahn? Much the same. I don't have a particularly high opinion of the organization Black Lives Matter, or any militant, extremist organization, for that matter. They seem to be typical of sixties counterparts like the black Panthers, SDS, or the American Indian Movement, playing an historically useful role in mobilizing people and bringing national attention to important issues at the expense of violence and a certain amount of lunacy. I wouldn't trust their judgment on most matters. BLM is a decentralized network with about 16 chapters in the United States and Canada, so if you tell me they've had Farrakhan over for tea, who would you be talking about? All of the members? Some of the national leadership? Without researching the question, my guess is that they're primarily concerned about the grievances and advancement of a particular race.(they don't call themselves All Lives Matter, and would get upset if anyone else did). Is NOW a sexist organization? Well, it's mainly concerned with advancing the interests of women, which doesn't mean that they all hate men but I'm sure some do. Some of them say and do outrageous things. If they changed the name and mission to National Organization of Everybody, would it be as effective? Probably not. If BLM dropped the "Black" and went for "All" would that make it better? The whole point would be lost, and no organization would be around to raise hell over the killing of blacks like George Floyd, which seems to be a particular problem. So on that basis, I'm willing to live with the fact that the organization is militant and even has leaders with friendly feelings toward raging Anti-Semite scum like Louis Farrakan.
Strange comment. Yeah. if Antifa or BLM did the same, the Orange One would send in the Marines! Plunging a city like Las Vegas into darkenss during a protest demonstration is serious business. When it’s 110 F degrees outside and someone sets fire to the local power substation, it’s a big deal when it’s your neighborhood and the air conditioner goes off.
As he should. Without the fed troops, Kate Brown and Ted Wheeler would’ve let the rioters continue without consequences
And with federal troops the riots escalated. Trump blinked first. I'm not sure, and I'm not sure the demonstrators were sure, what the ultimate point of the demonstrations was, other than to continue to express outrage over the death of George Floyd and police brutality. Trump's sending in the troops upped the ante by making that the object of the demonstrations. The demonstrators were in the position of my dog who likes to chase cars but never has had to face the problem of what to do if he caught one.
Ha ha ha! Man this funny entertainment 6 links to explain what happens if you set fire to a power substation? Ha ha ha And sorry, I should have said conspire to set fire a substation How many Americans you think even know about this guy, or the plot in Vegas They all remember Minneapolis though, and what happens when BLM actually sets fire to something
It escalated because the rioters didn’t like having to finally face the consequences of their destructive activity. Imagine being so entitled to think you can harm other people and their property without facing legal consequences
Yea the guy has been identified and charged. This article should answer your questions and put your crazy crisis actor theories to rest once and for all https://nypost.com/2020/08/01/trump-loving-grandma-outs-her-own-grandson-as-portland-bomber/
I want the protests to continue through November 3rd until Trump is deposed. Or if he wins I want riots.
Well, not all of them. So it turns out this dangerous bomb throwing leftist terrorist is a baby faced kid who claims to have thrown a package somebody gave him. Who was that? Was it 4Chan? Was it MAGA Granny? Is he Antifa? Is he Boogaloo (fits the profile). Maybe Trump will pardon him or commute his sentence, like he did for good ol'Roger Stone. Otherwise, it's probably the nursing home for granny for ratting him out! What are we to take away from this about violence in Portland? Weren't you comparing this kid to Timothy McVeigh?
Now, now. No evidence that the organization BLM or any of its members set that fire. And the links seemed to be necessary in light of your tone of skepticism. Conspiracy is a crime, and conspiracy to commit a terrorist act can be a serious one. It doesn't have to happen to be dangerous, whether or not people remember it.
"She claims she did not know her grandson’s politics and was unaware the Portland protests, now in their second month, were marked by nightly rioting" Lolz, so even those in Portland haven't even been paying attention
That doesn't make sense. If sending in the troops would mean the rioters would finally have to face the consequences, why would they escalate instead of run? And why would th violence diminish when the troops left?
For which she supplied him a bulletproof best to fend off those rubber bullets! lol She can visit him in prison and maybe bring him one of her cherry pies with a file inside. I still think granny may be in on it--probably head of Antifa operations in Portland and using the MAGA signs as deep cover!
Oh, how careless of me to assume that she didn't buy him a non-bullet proof vest to keep the rubber bullets away. “I bought the vest for him after he found one online after getting hit with rubber bullets the night before at the protest,” Fox told The Post. (She even left a positive review on clothing site Hibbett: “I got this for my grandson who’s a protester downtown, he uses it every night and says it does the job.”) And ""She claims she did not know her grandson’s politics and was unaware the portalnd protests..." Hmmm. How old is granny?
