I'm worried about what will be coming out of that Republican hose.

I can only hope said Republicans have learned from the many mistakes of the Bush administration. Consider this: President Sarah Palin, Vice President Jeb Bush!

Anti Liberal cleaning solution, and I'm hoping it won't be from a Democrat or a Republican hose.

I agree, we've had enough of the Liberal, Socialist, Progressive, Marxist, based agenda from both parties, and now it's time to get back to the basics. Let's watch and see how things go, and throw out some more incumbents next election. I'd prefer a President Thomas Sowell, and Vice President Chris Christie or Paul LePage, but will wait to see who surfaces as likely to run.

Why do those on the left depend so greatly on government? I get the feeling that if government was shut down completely for 1 year the death toll would number in the tens of millions.
Watching some Obama videos I've heard the words "Yes we can" chanted numerous times. What words are supposed to follow? It would appear the entire phrase should be "Yes we can live off the productive members of society." The unspoken words "No we can't take care of ourselves." would seem more appropriate.

You people voted Nixon and Bush into office, running as Republicans. Pretty appalling track record.

    My people?

I favor abolishing the party system and forcing these political swine to run on their own, as individuals, not parties. Forcing the people to do at least a little bit of research prior to voting. The party system is so corrupt I just assume not participate anymore.

People like you from the city we both live in, and every place else in the country rely on the letter D (or R) to tell them how to vote.

Creating the EPA, price and wage controls, decreasing military spending while increasing welfare spending, breaking the final gold standard connection, opening relations with communist China, clean air act, federal water pollution act, OSHA, consumer product safety commission, Philadelphia plan which was among the first federal affirmative action programs, endorsed equal rights amendment, Roe v Vade came out, Pat Nixon was one of it's most outspoken supporters and Nixon was said to be pro-choice himself despite never speaking on it, signed Title IX, Equal employment act, ect.

Really Nixon would be too much to the left to ever get elected as a Democrat as president today.

Be careful, you are risking creating a tear in the time-space continuum by introducing history and truth into the left's mindless, rote memes.

The drug war and watergate forever ruined Nixon's legacy. Too bad really.

"When the President does it, it isn't illegal" certainly didn't help either. (Though you might consider that an extension of watergate.)

So people feel that the current Democratic Administration hasn't done enough to repair the damage caused by the previous Republican Administration, so they start voting Republicans back into office. Why do I fail to see the logic?

Because you aren't looking at the whole picture. And if you would pay close attention you would recognize the fact that the movement was to put conservatives up as candidates on the Republican ticket.
