I got to take a class with Dr. Grof about 30 years ago! He was great! If you don't know who he is, he's one of the very first LSD experimenters, using it in clinical settings in Europe in the 1950s. His work is some of the most authoritative and influenced many including Tim Leary.

I'm also a fan of Dr. Lawrence Kolhberg. I studied psychology with one of his protoges.

But of course Jung did so much to advance the idea that there is more to us than meets the eye - and help jumpstart the human potential movement.

Then we have Dr. Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert (Ram Dass), both of whom I think did more than any other psychologist to show us the path to enlightenment.
