for some reason I love watching episodes of MR ED, the early 1960s series about the talking horse. it must have been popular because it ran for six years. I am a sucker for tv shows and movies with talking animals. Mr. Ed was the sarcastic "adult" figure and his owner Wilbur (Alan Young) was the "child" figure.
M*A*S*H* hands down. I was too young (born in '80) to know the war, and I didn't get to see many of the shows. But when I was little part of the regular programming as I'd change channels (manually; no remote) was M*A*S*H*.
