that "black dude" was easy-e. nope, that was The Association, not the doors. that was the buggles. styx. you need to brush up on your music and trivia.
There are a few covers that i love: HIM - wicked game - first song i heard by HIM and that got me into them. Its sooo much better than the original HIM - rebel yell. It really kicked ass! as good as the original. All along the watchtower - jimi hendrix. A classic. Phantom of the opera - Nightwish. totally totally amazing!! Even if Tarja did miss the high C at the end! lol it still rocks!! peace and love xxxxxxx
My favorite has always been The Doors' cover of Van Morrison's "Gloria" off the Absolutely Live cd, but I hardly listen to them anymore... hmm some other good ones... Jimi Hendrix ~ "Sunshine Of Your Love" Oasis ~ "I Am The Walrus" Jimi Hendrix ~ "All Along The Watchtower" Ani Difranco ~ "Hurricane" The Beatles ~ "Hippy Hippy Shake" The Beatles ~ "Till There Was You" Blind Melon ~ "Working Class Hero" John Lennon ~ "Stand By Me"
Bah! I left out "D'Yer Mak'er" by Sheryl Crow and "Out On The Tiles" by Blind Melon. Those two could vvery well be my favorite.... :sunglasse
a perfect circle redid when the levee breaks by led zeppelin. it has piano instead of harmonical, and reminds be of elevator music, but in a very good way. the original off led zeppilin iv is still 100x better tough.
