Evil Dead is demons not zombies. Oh and if you want some good demon movies go to Lamberto Bava's "Demons" and "Demons 2" films. Great gory shit. Intense like a mofo.
No, they were demons! Evil Ash was not a zombie he was a demon. There are no zombies in the evil dead series, only demons.
Yes, I think that's a toss up. Evil Ash DID come out of the ground, and rise again, much like traditional zombies, but he DIDN'T ever die, he just got his head cut off....he could be technically considered a "Demon Zombie" or a Dombie, Zemon, you get the picture. Whatever, Ash is amazing, so if I ever meet him, I'll ask him, lol.
army of darkness was zombies dude, forget about the whole army of skeletons and zombies called deadites that attacked the castle where the last of the humans were? it was zombies and demons, but in the first 2 evil dead movies those were demon spirits
I'm surprised no one mentioned Troma's famous zombie move: Redneck Zombies. THAT is a cult classic in the making.
I like Return of the Living Dead. Zombies scare me anyways but they are even scarier when they can run and actually think. *send more paramedics* LOL.
resident evil freaked me out. i thanked the lord when michelle rodriguez popped her clogs. why does she continue to put us through her crap butch act? milla jovovich rules tho. house of the dead is the best game ever. never seen the film and don't want to. shaun of the dead, it needs to be done justice, its great. aaaaaargh fear and loathin fear and loathin!!! look i have a quote too! unfortunately my untechnological mind cannot fathom out these mysterious pictures... aaaargh fear and loathin!!! we're gonna need some golf shoes...
anything george remero did is golden. day of the dead is my fav cuz i LOVE post apocoyptic temporarily established societty that is slowly deswtroyed movies. i prefer the slow assed zombies becuase it makes me feel safer being a zombie elite. having watched all the best zombie movies, i'd like to think i'd stand a pretty good chance agaisnt a real zombie infestation, but when they run!? eeek. how am i supposed to compete with that? oh yea and resident evil was great in premise and i love the games beyond all measure, but the movie was seriously lacking. (although my aunt designed the fake zombie heads that blow up and get mashed to shit)...im looking forward to resident evil 2 the movie, and im hopping it will be done with a larger budget. the money htey could have saved by NOT hiring mila jos-phehregrejrjer (what ever) probably could have made the movie a lot better.
You fancy yourself a zombie elitist eh? WELL, I guess I'll have to ask you a few questions about surviving in an environment WITH zombies. Just a few simple questions, anyone who fancies themselves zombie worthy can answer them. 1) WHAT is the worst thing to have on a house? A) A screen door in the back. B) A set of two windows close to the ground. C) A Large Backyard. D) A weak, old front door. 2) WHERE do you go in case of a zombie attack on your city? A) A friend's place. B) Police station. C) Basement, and wait for things to blow over. D) A local store for supplies. 3) WHAT would you try to attain if you were fighting zombies? A) A big thick winter jacket with snowpants. B) A Leather jacket and leather pants. C) A kevlar vest with leather pants. D) Steel toed boots, with all of the above. I'll post back in a few days with the answers. Think carefully about each question, and post reasons WHY you chose your answers.
1) WHAT is the worst thing to have on a house? A) A screen door in the back. B) A set of two windows close to the ground. C) A Large Backyard. D) A weak, old front door. excellent choice for a first question. and it is certainly a tough one to answer cuz i'll have to make certain assumptions, but, here we go: the screen door in the back is bad, but todays sliding door market is different from the one is used to be, and glass slidding doors are made very thick. with proper blind usage so zombies can't see you through the glass door, you should be safe (assuming it's sliding glass + screen door...cuz in canada, we don't have JUST screen doors, and the glass we use is VERY thick).. the weak front door is also very bad, because we've all seen a number of zombies punch there way through a weak wooden door very quickly, HOWEVER, since doors are relatively small, they are easier to board up and make twice to three times as thick. the large backyard in my personal opinion would be a good thing, so long as it's fenced off. personally as soon as i estabished a safe home base, i would dispose of any zombies in the back yard as quickly as possible, and begin digging a deep ditch. zombies that go down, usually don't come back up. if zombies managed to brake through the fence they'd walk right into the ditch, and the dirt taken out of the ditch can be pilled up on the other side to make a higher wall or stregthen the back yard fence. the two large windows close to the ground would be the biggest bitch of them all i would imagine. unless you can board them up form the outside any blockade would be easy to push in by zombies once the glass is broken. the reinforcement would depend on how strong the nails are and the wood that the boards are nailed too. it doenst matter if you board it up with the strongest hardwood you have, unless you board it up from the outside the windows will be a major weak spot. so i choose B, but warily. 2) WHERE do you go in case of a zombie attack on your city? A) A friend's place. B) Police station. C) Basement, and wait for things to blow over. D) A local store for supplies. hah, i like this one. a) my friends and i have already discussed this and we all know none of us will be there. theres no point...either your dead on the way, their dead when you arive, or they've already left. b) thats just where EVERYONE is going, and the police are mostly all called off to various parts of the city no doubt being mauled by viscious man eating zombies. there will be lots of easy targets for the zombies and not many cops to protect them at the station c)seems like a good idea, and im a basement dweller myself, but you could not put yourself in a worse position. unless you have a fully stocked bomb shelter basement (like my neighbour) your a sitting duck, you'll go crazy and you'll die. d) it's the only thing you can do, and it's where all my friends will be waiting for me (the ones that make it) hijack the grocery store, live in the upstairs part and block off the doors and windows with skids of pepsi/coke orders. 3) WHAT would you try to attain if you were fighting zombies? A) A big thick winter jacket with snowpants. B) A Leather jacket and leather pants. C) A kevlar vest with leather pants. D) Steel toed boots, with all of the above. my outfit is already picked out and rearing to go, hell, i even have a chain mail glove to protect my right hand. but my answer would be a B+D mixture. i have steel toed boots with a leather jacket and i'd go for the leather pants. the winter jacket and snow pants will do you no good in summer as you'll get way too tired form over heating, and the zombies won't be shooting at you so the kevlar vest would only uslessly weigh you down...now if this was a t virus zombie outbreak and there were lickers and the dog zombies, and stuff like that i'd go for the kevlar, but if wer talking romero zombies, the leather will be enough to stop the teeth and nails without weighing you down too much.
I thought 28 Days Later was a the best zombie movie I have seen, I like the dark mysterious vide it gives off too.
You my friend, are a zombie elitist. I commend you. I'm quite surprised someone took the time to answer completely all the questions supplied, and with SUCH good answers, it even changed my mind on some of it. The answer for the last question I would choose B, since leather has such a thick layer, it would be the best for zombie fighting. The only reason I didn't choose the kevlar vest is because of the quest you would need to go on to find one. It's much easier to goto a neighbors house while they are being killed by zombies and take their shit, instead of looking at a specialty place to get kevlar. It isn't nearly as common, but if you can find it, it'd be awesome. Haha, man, we should hang out sometime dude, we seem to have a lot of the same zombie ideas.
Lemme take a whack at these questions since I've planned for mutants post apocylpse style. The 2 creatures are very similar. Here we go though. One thing I've noticed though is that people seem to forget that zombies have seemingly superhuman strength because they never fatigue. They never tire, never get weak unless you dismember them. Away we go. 1) WHAT is the worst thing to have on a house? A) A screen door in the back. B) A set of two windows close to the ground. C) A Large Backyard. D) A weak, old front door. A) Provided that theres an actual door after the screen then no this is not a problem. In fact you can use the screen to make a makeshift barier. Break the frame up and mount them in spikes on the ground. Your run of the mill zombie hoard shambles forward with a glazed stare, seeking only meat and not watching for booby traps, so they run each other right into them and make a zombie blockade if your lucky. This might give you the few seconds you need to pick off a few. However if there is no acompaning door then this is probably the worst to have in an unsecure backyard. Zombies could literally walk through them. However if the frame is weak you could easilly rig a trap for the whole frame area to come crashing down on them. This could expose a big fucking hole if you dont rig it right though.... Tricky one B) Windows are easilly boarded up. What many fail to remember is that a house is built of wood and when you run out of extras, start rippin out the studs. Also a large baricade could handle these fairly easy. C) I agree with dangermoose to an extent. A backyard can be fortified. Tiger pit traps with pongees work real well if you slick down the sides. They pull off the sticks, grab slick mud, self impalement. Also a large backyard makes for a fast getaway with lots of manuverabillity in case the house is overrun, so long as hoards arent back there. A dozen zombies you can ditch no problem. D) Again, easy blockade. So I'm going with A) The screen door 2) WHERE do you go in case of a zombie attack on your city? A) A friend's place. B) Police station. C) Basement, and wait for things to blow over. D) A local store for supplies. A) Well first instincts tell one to go to someone you can trust, strength in numbers right? Well your friends are probably dead and if not, well on their way. Your better off calling them en-route to your destination and telling them to get the hell out. B) Now if your the first exposure this is a very bad idea. You'll be asumed intoxicated or the like and placed in a cell to wait and be devoured. Bad move my friend. And say that its rampant. The last thing you wanna risk is running into a zombie who has the faint recolection of how to fire a gun. The armament is tempting but unaccesable for the most part. Next C) If you have supplies this may work but if not then this is a VERY bad idea. Some people believe that Zombie smell live flesh and it atracts them. Now if your underground your producing almost twice as much odor and thus, Zombie bait. Basements should only be an armed last resort. D) The best plan of them all, but not just any store. You have to hit Academy. They have knives, machetes, guns gallore. Go there armed and pray to whatever god you believe in that its abandoned. If not, fight your way back to the guns and get yourself a pistol. Their quick loads, more rounds then a shotgun, meaning you can take down more per clip. Reloading is a bitch, trust me. However, dont be picky. Get the first damn gun you can. Also stay on the high ground. Its easier to shoot down. 3) WHAT would you try to attain if you were fighting zombies? A) A big thick winter jacket with snowpants. B) A Leather jacket and leather pants. C) A kevlar vest with leather pants. D) Steel toed boots, with all of the above. Before answereing I'd like to point out that a humans main advantage over a zombie is speed and dexterity. Right off the bat we can eliminate A and C because they SERIOUSLLY hinder this advantage. Next you say the leather jacket. While this may provide some help it wont be enough. Zombie know no pain or lack of energy and will have it in shreds (Teeth, claws etc) in moments. Option D is closer though with boots. However the steel toe would weigh you down dramaticlly. You'd be surprised believe me. Your best uniform would be military fatigues with leather combat boots and a trenchcoat cover. These provide many pockets for holding amunitions and such and a trencoat is fairly easy to slide out of if you get grabbed. Hows that sucka?
Very nice DarkLunacy, your answers were COMPLETELY explained, and once again, another person has proved themselves a zombie elitist. Mutants tho eh? I've never thought about a mutant invasion before...maybe this will become a new obsession for me...
