i have a couple. no one favorite in particular. bob dylan, roger waters, david gilmoure, trent reznor, johnny rotten, john lennon, syd barret.
gots to love the johnny rotten, man... and i wanna throw in the guy from 'cake'... i cant think of his name right now... but hes fuckin awesome
rotten is a horrible singer, but for some reason i like a raw voice. same goes for dylan. what matters to me when it comes to music is if you can add feeling in ure lyrics. not how ure voice sounds.
Edith Piaf or Billie Holliday for ladies. Peter Gabriel or David Bowie for men. Prince for the other category. I give honorable mention to Freddie Mercury, Bono, and Mick Hucknall for men, and Sade, Madonna, and Norah Jones for ladies. Sentimental faves, Bon Scott, Howlin Wolf, Janis Joplin, and Steve Tyler.
Billie Holiday, Sandy Denny, and Janis Joplin, my three fave female vocalists Ian Gillan, Nat King Cole, Elvis, three of my fave male singers.
hmmmm I have so many that I like. I agree with alot of you on robert plant, his voice is really amazing! My favorite female vocalist has got to be Gwen stefani (not the new cd though, I love anything by her that came out before her latest cd! lol) and I also like fiona apple's voice. But one of the reasons I Love Incubus so much is Brandon Boyd's voice, very unique, I'd have to say his voice is my ultimate favorite above all others
Also I've always loved Dave Gutter's voice (Rustic Overtones, Paranoid social club) its friggin awesome!
I'm really not sure about this one!! I like so many different bands and each one has a different style to their voice.. I really like the singer from system of a down actually haha.. Chrissie Hyndes has an awesome voice.. Janis Joplin I fucking love.. Kelly from stereophonics is a bit sexy.. Eddie Vedder...
Maynard James Keenan Trent Reznor Mikael Akerfeldt David Vincent David Bowie Les Claypool Roland whatever the fuck his last name is (from Tears for Fears) Alice Cooper Glenn Danzig Mark Bolan Serj Tankian
Yeah, I love the vocals of Sandy Denny very much as well. Maddy Prior on the Steeleye Span albums is also great. For male singers my favourite is Ronnie James Dio.
ROBERT PLANT, the Janis Joplin.....and then Glenn Hughes.....I could drool when I listen to his voice.
