pretty much everybody i like lets people tape their stuff. Save for Galactic, they arent too cool with that for some reason. And Jazz Mandolin Project shows are pretty tough to find but ive got my hands on a few. My faves (on a live album) :

Charlie Hunter - most his shows are very crisp and you can hear them very well. There is one in particular i really like with some guy on Vibraphones playing at a Jazz festival somewhere in Poland or Russia or something. ive never heard Charlie playin w/some vibes on any other show (except when hes with Garage a Trois and Mike Dillon ofcourse)

Pnuma Trio - most electronic bands like Pnuma for some reason come out a lot better sounding than acoustic shows like Keller Williams per say. I have yet to find a really crisp sounding Keller live show. dl a few Pnuma or Lotus shows and if you find the right ones you would have thought it was recorded in the studio.

Medeski, Scofield, Martin and Wood. the Tour they did in 2006 was one of the best pieces of music i have ever witnessed. and it shows on the live recording. Do a torrent search for them at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, KS in December of 2006. Extremely good qual and set. Scofield steals it.

Lotus, STS9 also have some really good live albums as well. Robert Walter's 20th Congress also has some really funky shite.

    Just a few here.

    Tea Leaf Green
Wishbone Ash(do not confuse Wishbone Ash with Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash, as Martin has a bone up his ass when it comes to taping.)

    Kelly Richey
