i enjoy the Rock and Roll Circus version more...althouygh i like the "emptiness" of the studio version, Keith Richard playing bass is awesome, and claptons solo is quite good
I don't really classify things as favorites, each thing stands on its own. But I have a strong affection for Blackbird, and its the first song that floated to the top of my mind.
Martha My Dear was my absolute favorite song last summer. I don't know what it is about that song, but it makes me so happy.
Savoy Truffle is a good one too. But I think it would've been interesting if George redid all of his White Album songs on 'All Things Must Pass'. Imagine 'Savoy Truffle' with Phil Spector's Wall O' Sound. That would be mindblowing.
SUCH a hard question. It's a brilliant album. I'll say 'While my guitar gently weeps', 'Dear Prudence' and 'Happiness is a warm gun'. But really, most of that album is superb. I love it.
I agree with you, word for word. i probably like Rocky Racoon fourth and no one's mentioned Ob la Di?
you know, george martin wanted the boys to widdle the song selection down to one single album. he thought the double album was a bit too much for fans to handle... with that in mind, what songs would you put on a single album?? if you were george martin, and you had to pick certain songs to be released on a single album?? keep in mind, you could only get about 45 minutes on one lp, so it would probably take about 15 songs
Mother Nature's Son Dear Prudence Blackbird Hapiness is a Warm Gun I Will Julia Yer Blues Helter Skelter Revolution 1 Sexy Sadie Cry Baby Cry While My Guitar Gently Weeps I'm So Tired Long, Long, Long Savoy Truffle Those are the ones I'd keep if I had to choose 15, no idea how much time it would take up exactly.
