Kanye West (COLLEGE DROPOUT AND LATE REGISTRATION) It's called reading English, I guess they don't teach you that in Canada, EH? Kanye West actually has some talent. His production skills can't be beat, either. If you actually knew hiphop (doubt it, you listen to lil wayne) you would know some of this shit. And Talib Kweli isn't good? What the fuck are you smokin on? He's possibly one of the best MCs alive dude.
seriously, fuck anyone who hates rap based on the fact that it's "not real music" or it's "degrading to women" or whatever. it's real. some people just can't see but my favorite rap song of all time would have to be "dance with the devil" by immortal technique.
I remember vividly the first time I heard that song. I was in 9th grade and not much of a rap fan (other than Eminem). The lyrics fucking blew my adolescent mind. I still like the song but now I think I like Point of No Return and Peruvian Cocaine better. I also like The Poverty of Philosophy a lot but I seem to be alone on that one.
Yeah Poverty of Philosophy is cool. I am really not a Tech fan anymore at all, he is SO fuckin repetitive.
How is he not repetitive, give me some concrete examples. He mentions the same couple things in almost every song on all of his albums and his sound never really changes. I guess I just am not impressed whatsoever by him anymore, though his older stuff is still alright.
lol so kanye is better than dre? "what the fuck are you smokin on?" you dont know shit either son. the best rappers ever consist of a very short list Nas Pac Biggy Eminem all the rest of barely worth mentioning, cannibus is -wack- so are groups like jedi mind tricks, MF doom, even heiro is fucking wack without Del. new shit is the worst too because it makes people think that THIS is rap, lil wayne, etc. etc. are all just fucking pop artists, they arent rappers, they got a little money early on with some hits they were lucky to make into singles, then they poured all that money into beats and producing ANYONE can make a hit club banger if they have 100K to put into a beat, then they just synthesize the fuck outa their voices and VOILA! you've got a club banging single, and radio play. You know who has pretty much the sickest most innovative beats? it's people like brittney spears who have unlimited funds to put into them, the beat for "Toxic" alone cost almost 500k imo Nas is probably the best rapper that ever lived, his shit cant be touched, other then that its pretty much a 3 way tie for 2nd, or even 1A 1B 1C and Wu-tang is the best group of all time personally i couldnt care less about anything else.
Lol you mention Eminem and say Doom and Jedi are wack, what the fuck are you smokin on sir? That bc bud has got you straight retarded lol
i just think that sticking to your story is different than being repetitive. Also, there's a big difference between a song like "dance with the Devil" and "The Point of No Return." i also have great respect for him for staying self-produced and underground all this time. he's real, at least, unlike lil wayne and soulja boy and all the rest of the club-beat southern rap shit the populace seems to have fallen into dumb love with.
doom and jedi are "nerd rap" anyone that knows anything knows that Em has -always- had content in his lyrics, people like mf and jedi mind just rhyme bullshit that doesnt even make sense, it's just sentances of words that rhyme i always laugh at people who actually think that bullshit is good because anyone can just stick rhyming words together that 'sound" like they mean somthing when in reality its just to match a beat. imo The Game is 100 times the rapper any of those idiots are and the game isnt even on the radar of the greatest.
Haha you can't even say they just rhyme bullshit, hell yes their words rhyme amazingly because they are awesome lyricists, but they talk about real shit IF you can understand what they are saying. Hell Doom takes on and details the story of multiple rap personas, talk about skill. Em can go bitch about his mom in the corner.
I'm not a Jedi fan either, the only song they've done that I enjoyed was "I Who Have Nothing" and that was before they started doing that gay faux-tough guy gruff voice.
